“Today, singer Htwe Lynn Ko’s story “The Beginning and The Way” were both winners at the monthly awards of the Cannes World Film Festival in France and the International Short Film Festival 2023 in Korea. It was able to break through to the world level with all that was available in the dark ages. It’s not just a short story…it’s more than a movie…something that represents their hearts on behalf of the people. In both of these decades, the people have been identical to what he wrote, what he sang, and what he designed and created. I am more than proud, brother. To all the members of the team who participated,” said U Kyaw Thet Lin.
Actor Chit Thu Wai, wife of singer Lynn Lynn, also informed that both these films were done with hard work.
“I have to say that this spring we are making a movie again after 8 years. We worked as hard as we could and tried not to keep our voices silent. The two films officially selected at the Cannes World Film Festival, went through the semifinals, finals, and nominations, and both won awards. I can’t say how much I am happy. In our imperfection, we only had spirit and art. ‘The Beginning’ was Ko Lynn Lynn’s first film. In this film, I had to play a character. “The Way” is a film that has not yet put anything into motion on the revolutionary front. When my husband told me that he was going to make a musical movie, “The Way”, I thought that he was doing the impossible (it’s not possible because of time, security, resources, etc., nothing is perfect). But all the revolutionary brothers and sisters worked very hard,” said actor Chit Thu Wai.
