๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. KNDF Battalion 14 Honours Fallen Comrade with Salute and Gunfire Tribute

Chant Myay Aung, a soldier of Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) Battalion 14, heroically fell in battle on July 25, 2025, while serving on the frontlines during an attack by the military junta.

Chant Myay Aung had joined KNDF Battalion 14 on January 4, 2022, and since then, he had dutifully and bravely fulfilled all responsibilities entrusted to him. He was not only a capable and valiant fighter against the enemy but also someone who gave his life for the cause of establishing a federal democratic union.

The KNDF has stated that he will always be remembered and honoured as a national martyr and hero.

"On the occasion of Comrade Chant Myay Aung’s martyrdom, we – his fellow soldiers – deeply mourn together with his surviving family members. May he rest in peace," the statement from KNDF/B-14 News and Public Relations Unit concluded.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Two Soldiers from Junta’s 403rd Infantry Defect to KNLA Brigade 4

Two junta soldiers from the 403rd Infantry Battalion based at Winwa Camp, located in Thayatchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, have defected to Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 4, according to an announcement from the KNU Mergui-Tavoy District.

On August 4, Maung Maung Soe (aged 42) and Maung Zaw Zaw (aged 20) surrendered to KNLA Brigade 4, Battalion 12, Unit 2, along with their weapons.

The defectors brought with them:

  • 1 MA-1 assault rifle
  • 1 MA-2 assault rifle
  • 400 rounds of ammunition
  • 8 magazines

In recognition of their defection, Deputy Battalion Commander Saw Dar Dar of KNLA Battalion 12 awarded each of them 400,000 Kyat in commendation funds.

Additionally, Maung Kyaw Kyaw, a previously defected soldier who facilitated the communication and connection for the latest defections, was also awarded 200,000 Kyat by Battalion 12 in appreciation.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. “KHAYAN PDF Fundraising Cup” Football Match Successfully Held in Japan to Support Helmets and Armor for Resistance Fighters

A charity football match titled "KHAYAN PDF Fundraising Cup" was successfully held in Japan to raise funds for helmets and bulletproof armor for resistance fighters.

The organizing team stated,

“We have successfully hosted the 'KHAYAN PDF Fundraising Cup' football match in Japan to support our resistance fighters with protective headgear and body armor.”

PDF-Khayan extended heartfelt thanks to all participating teams and individual contributors in Japan who supported the fundraising event.
