📌📌 1.      The National Unity Government is preparing to present the Transitional Constitution

 

Acting President Duwa Lashi La told at an interview in the last week of November that the National Unity Government is preparing to present the Transitional Constitution.

 

The Acting President stated, “We put a lot of effort into presenting the TC (Transitional Constitution). Once we present it, everyone will be able to easily comprehend our roadmap, and our efforts will be able to move along more quickly.”

 

A one-year strategic plan for the People's Revolution is now being developed and put into action by the National Unity Government.

📌📌 2.      NUG Defense Minister U Yee Mon says the strategic deployment capability of the PDF battalions has come a long way

 

In an interview with RFA, Defense Minister U Yee Mon noted that the strategic deployment capability of the PDF battalions has come a long way.

 

“We have previously made it known that the National Unity Government will primarily use the funds it has found to arm the PDF Army. On the one hand, the PDF Army can now conduct training and arming to a certain extent. Building a chain of command simultaneously has to be done together with this. We've also come a long way on this, command. Most importantly, we can say that the strategic deployment capability of the PDF battalions has come a long way.” — Defense Minister U Yee Mon said.

 

At present, there are more than 300 battalions of the People’s Defense Force that are formally established under the MOD, in addition to 401 local defense forces (LDFs) and urban guerrilla groups that have been established across 250 townships and are affiliated with the MOD. The MOD is currently in the process of registering and recognizing the Defense Force battalions.

📌📌 3.      NUG Union Minister U Soe Thura Tun says that being able to hold one's head high and act humanely is more important than ethnic and religious beliefs

 

U Soe Thura Tun, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy of the National Unity Government, said on December 1 that being able to hold one's head high and act humanely is more important than ethnic and religious beliefs.

 

The Union Minister said, “Being able to raise our heads high and act like human beings is more important than ethnic and religious beliefs, nations, political philosophies, and land ownership. That was my belief when I was over 20 years old, and it is still my belief today.” 

 

The majority of people in Myanmar have lost their jobs and have trouble making a living after the military coup.

📌📌 4.      Seven Dagon University students were sentenced to death

 

The Dagon University Students' Union announced on December 1 that seven Dagon University students were sentenced to death.

It states, “Seven Dagon University students were sentenced to death yesterday (November 30) by the military junta court in Insein Prison, allegedly under Article 302 (a), seven months after their arrest on April 21, 2022.”

 

Seven students who were sentenced to death are Ko Khant Zin Win, Ko Hein Htet, Ko Khant Lin Maung Maung, Ko Thet Paing Oo, Thiha Htet Zaw, Thura Maung Maung, and Zaw Lin Naing.

 

As of November 20, 2022, 86 people had been sentenced to death and were being imprisoned in prisons in connection with the spring revolution.

📌📌 5.      The military column heading into Tabayin burned Ma Soe Yein Village in Sagaing Division

 

The Local Fighters Squad provided the following information regarding the junta column marching on December 1:

“Ma Soe Yein Village is being burned by the military column that left the Ye-U Traditional Hospital and headed toward Tabayin.”

 

The Local Fighters Squad further claimed that the military column that set Ma Soe Yein Village on fire had looted bags of rice and containers for cooking oil from the houses of civilians and then placed them on the road.

📌📌 6.      KNDF urges civilians to be cautious due to military tensions in Nan Mae Khon Town, Karenni State

 

On December 1, the KNDF B01 issued a warning to civilians about the military tensions in Nang Mae Khon, Karenni State.

It states, “There is a state of military tension along Nang Mae Khon Town, Demoso Township, between the forces of the terrorist military council and the coalition forces of the Karenni State. Therefore, residents and those who are passing through Nang Mae Khong Town should be aware of the military and avoid traveling carelessly when it is unsafe because of the recent military tension.”

📌📌 7.      Youth demonstrations against military dictatorship on Yuzana Plaza Street to mark the one-year anniversary of the Yangon Women's Strike

 

On December 1, the Yangon Drone strike group announced that a youth demonstration against military dictatorship had been conducted on Yuzana Plaza Street to mark the one-year anniversary of the Yangon Women's Strike.

 

The strike group states, “It was a women's strike on Yuzana Plaza Street in Tamwe Township, where security is strict and harsh.”

 

Young women took part in the campaign marking the one-year anniversary of the Yangon Women's Strike, and the public supported them.

 

After the military coup, despite arrests and crackdowns, public strikes are still active as guerrilla strikes in Yangon.

📌📌 8.      A bomb exploded near the General Aung San bronze statue in Lewe

 

The People's Defense Force - Nay Pyi Taw (PaKaHpa) claimed to have detonated at a traffic police outpost near the General Aung San bronze statue in Lewe.

 

“On December 1 at about 7:30 am, the people's defense forces–Nay Pyi Taw (PaKaHpa) and people’s defense force–Pyinmana (PaKaHpa) jointly detonated a stun grenade at a traffic police outpost next to the General Aung San bronze statue in Lewe. The attack was aimed at luring military junta lackeys to follow us and mine them along the road, but the primary mine was picked up by civilians,” they said.

 

Only the stun grenade was exploded in the attack, according to the People's Defense Force - Nay Pyi Taw (PaKaHpa).
