📌📌 2.      NUG Union Minister U Soe Thura Tun says that the terrorist military council is poorly managed to the point that it cannot even offer regular electricity and is unwilling to spend budget for the people

U Soe Thura Tun, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy, told Radio NUG on December 2:

“There are two major issues: poor management and an unwillingness to spend budgets for the people. For this reason, international companies that had invested [in Myanmar] during the NLD government's tenure have left. This includes companies that supply electricity. Except in the areas it dominates, NUG is not currently in a position to work extensively. We have therefore been training people to increase the use of domestic solar power since last year.”

In addition, the electricity shortage is likely to be even worse during the open season, affecting the daily lives of the people in Yangon and the rest of the country.

“In addition to posting instructional flyers about solar energy on the department's Facebook page, a website has also been created that enables the public to estimate the cost of the tools they’ll need to utilize it at home. Everyone needs to be aware that there will be continuous electricity outages until the summer,” said Union Minister U Soe Thura Tun.
