1. The Acting President of the National Unity Government, H.E. Duwa Lashi La offered New Year wishes on April 17th. In his greeting, the Acting President remarked that on the occasion of Myanmar's traditional New Year, he would like to extend his best wishes for peace and tranquility to all the people of Myanmar. It has been more than three years since the terrorist military junta illegally seized power from the people, and when the people throughout the country are facing various violations and crises, this is the fourth time they have celebrated the traditional Myanmar New Year. The Acting President stated that the Myanmar people have demonstrated that they are capable of overcoming any difficulties and crises they face may arise as a result of the times and circumstances. New Year's is a time for making strong resolutions for the coming year, such as achieving full equality and promptly establishing a new federal democratic union with full self-determination and respect for human rights. 2. The Spokesperson of the terrorist military junta, Zaw Min Tun told the International news agencies that State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint have been relocated from prisons. He stated that because the current weather is hot and severe, not only Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Win Myint, but also the elderly detainees, are being protected from heat stroke.   Zaw Min Tun stated that in addition to other health-related measures, prisoners are taking the required precautions to safeguard the elderly from heatstroke.  State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was held in Nay Pyi Taw Prison, while President U Win Myint was detained in Taungoo Prison, although Zaw Min Tun did not say where they were taken. He made the statement just a few days after the leaders of the terrorist military junta, Vice Senior General Soe Win and Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing, were attacked by the revolutionary forces. Vice Senior General Soe Win has not been seen in public in more than 10 days after being attacked by the revolutionary forces for 2 days, and the Commander-in-Chief is afraid to go out. Therefore, political observers believe that State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint may have been moved from prisons under the pretense of hot weather. As of the morning of April 17, which is the first day of the Myanmar New Year, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi had not returned to her resident at No. 54 University Avenue in Kamayunt Township in Yangon.
