The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government issues a statement concerning on Myanmar nationals who are taking refuge in India for security concerns, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, U Aung Myo Min meets with President of New Zealand's Council of Trade Unions and Union Minister for the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology of NUG, U Hin Lin Aung provides clarification on public donations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government issued a statement requesting (1/2024) on May 7th, to continue to adhere to the points that Myanmar nationals who are taking refuge in India must follow for security concerns. The statement emphasizes the importance of refraining from activities that violate the Republic of India's sovereignty and territorial integrity, such as interfering in the political and administrative affairs of the state where they are taking refuge. Furthermore, if they encounter any obstacles, they are encouraged to notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of NUG, as well as Myanmar civil society organizations.

The Union Minister for the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, U Aung Myo Min met with President of New Zealand's Council of Trade Unions Mr. Richard Wagstaff, and his party on May 8th. During the meeting, they discussed the forced labor of the terrorist military junta, as well as issues related to the violation of freedom of association by blocking the right to freedom of association and the participation of the trade unions in order to increase the effectiveness of the actions of the International Labor Union (ILO). Furthermore, they frankly discussed the provision of technology and technical assistance to Myanmar's labor unions.

Union Minister for the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology of NUG, U Hin Lin Aung, clarified via social media on May 8th, which he does not handle public donations, which are organized by the Ministry's financial accounting team. He further stated that he never received any salary while serving as the CRPH International Relations Representative in charge as well as the Minister of Communications, Information and Technology for NUG. He has honestly worked all his physical and intellectual abilities for the benefit of Myanmar. He explained about the Pennsylvania House. Of course he purchased a house in Pennsylvania. One of his businesses, home buying and selling, is connected with the bank. He doesn’t handle people's donations. Public donations are handled only by the ministry's accounting team, stated the Union Minister. Moreover, the Union Minister stated that the Global Fund for Burma is a group founded by American citizens that is officially registered in the United States and does not handle money. His engagement in politics is obvious. He joined the movement because he wanted the Myanmar people to build a great liberation federal democratic Union and live in peace. He gave up his job. He made time to earn an honest income for his family by doing a side profession that included house buying, renovation, and selling. If there is concrete evidence that he misappropriated funds from the public, he is willing to accept it. Similarly, he wants a person to be held accountable for defamation based on incomplete information, stated Union Minister U Hin Lin Aung.

4. Myanmar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, attended the General Discussion of the 57th Session of the Commission on Population and Development on May 2nd. The Ambassador stated that due to the terrorist military junta's forces heavy airstrikes and heavy weaponry on schools and learning centers, some children are studying in bunkers and makeshift tents; therefore, in this difficult situation, the National Unity Government-NUG provides basic health care to people throughout Myanmar. To provide education and humanitarian assistance, the government is collaborating with ethnic revolution organizations and all stakeholders. Despite many challenges, the NUG has resumed routine immunization in some places, the ambassador stated. Moreover, he also stated that the government is offering training on natural disaster management, emergency lifesaving and trauma care treatment.

According to Thai News, which cited the Myanmar Now News Agency, former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra met with revolutionary forces, including the National Unity Government (NUG), in Chiang Mai in April. Former Thai prime minister and his team met on April 13th to discuss the current situation with Myanmar, according to the country's new foreign minister, Maris Sangiampongsa. According to the Thai Enquirer newspaper, the former PM met with revolutionary forces including the Karen National Union (KNU), the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP), the Kachin National Organization (KNO), and the NUG, as well as representatives from Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS). The Foreign Minister Maris stated that he did not know the details of the discussion and that their meeting was only a personal meeting and with no concern for the Thai government.
