๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Attack on Hmawbi Air Force Base: 15 Soldiers, Including 3 Officers, Killed; 2 Aircraft Destroyed
December 7
The Hmawbi Air Force Base, located in Yangon Region, was attacked using 107mm short-range rockets, leading to the destruction of two military aircraft and the death of 15 soldiers, including three officers. This was announced today, December 7, by Brave Warriors for Myanmar (B.W.M.).
The attack reportedly occurred on December 6 at around 10 PM, targeting the airbase that had been actively conducting airstrikes in Karenni, Karen, Mon, and coastal Tanintharyi regions. The mission damaged a Y-8 transport aircraft and a Y-12 attack aircraft, as well as facilities such as hangars, runways, and administrative offices, which caught fire. Initial reports also indicate severe injuries to five personnel, including two officers, one of whom is a senior base administrator.
The operation was jointly executed by Shadow SAF (Special Operations Forces) and Brave Warriors for Myanmar (B.W.M.). Using five 107mm short-range rockets, they successfully targeted aircraft hangars housing Y-12 fighter planes.
The groups stated that the attack was a response to ongoing airstrikes by the junta on civilians and ethnic areas. The Hmawbi Air Base serves as a key hub for distributing military supplies, including imported weaponry from China. The alliance declared they would continue such missions to undermine junta air capabilities and protect civilians across Myanmar.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. KIA Alliance Gains Ground in Bhamo City
December 7
The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and allied forces have entered Bhamo City, securing key positions as part of an operation to capture the area, local sources report.
On December 6, allied forces took control of a strategic three-story building fortified by junta forces on the Moemauk Road near Aung Myay Village, utilizing snipers, drones, and MG-42 machine guns. The building had previously served as a key outpost for junta forces.
Fighting between junta troops and resistance forces continues in Bhamo and Momauk Townships for the fourth consecutive day, with KIA-led forces escalating efforts to seize junta-controlled areas, including police stations.
The clashes have displaced thousands of civilians, forcing many to flee the area under dire conditions. KIA's public communications have condemned the junta for obstructing and targeting fleeing civilians, compounding the humanitarian crisis.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. AA Declares Imminent Capture of Maungdaw’s Last Military Base
December 7
The Arakan Army (AA) announced its intention to soon capture the last remaining junta-controlled outpost in Maungdaw Township, Border Guard Battalion No. 5. Despite junta attempts to defend the position with aerial reinforcements and naval support, AA forces are actively advancing towards complete control.
If captured, this would grant the AA full control over the Myanmar-Bangladesh border. Intense battles were reported on December 5 and 6, with junta forces relying heavily on bunker defenses near the base. The AA claims the junta’s supply lines have been cut off, leaving aerial resupplies as their only remaining lifeline.
AA continues to engage junta strongholds in Ann, Taungup, Gwa, and Maungdaw, with consistent clashes intensifying across the region.
