๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Victory on Mount Victoria: Chin National Flag Raised, Declares CDF Kanpetlet

February 9

The Chin Defense Force (CDF) Kanpetlet announced that they successfully raised the Chin National flag atop Mount Victoria, which stands over 10,000 feet tall and is situated between Kanpetlet and Mindat Townships in Chin State.

The announcement, made on February 8, expressed gratitude to the allied Arakan Army (AA) and its Commander-in-Chief, Major General Tun Myat Naing, for their support. The statement highlighted that despite numerous challenges, the solidarity and relentless determination of the allied AA forces and Chin comrades led to this significant achievement.

CDF Kanpetlet emphasized that this victory aligns with the aspirations of the Chin people. In a previous interview, Major General Tun Myat Naing had expressed the AA’s commitment to supporting the Chin people in raising their flag atop Mount Victoria.

Mount Victoria, a well-known peak in Myanmar, is home to diverse wildlife, including endangered bird species.

Since the military coup, Chin Defense Forces have allied with the Arakan Army in joint operations across Chin State, leading to several strategic town captures with AA's support. The AA had previously controlled Paletwa during the initial phase of Operation 1027 launched by the Northern Alliance.

Currently, Chin National Defense Forces, in cooperation with allies, maintain control over Mindat, Matupi, Makui Ain Nuu, Lailin Pi, Webu, Kanpetlet, and Kyindwe Townships while continuing offensives toward Falam and Tedim.
