It has been reported that a total of 403 people have been successfully rescued alive in Mandalay Region, while the bodies of 259 deceased individuals have been recovered.
Search and rescue operations are being carried out by both international and domestic rescue teams to retrieve individuals trapped under the debris of collapsed buildings caused by the earthquake in Mandalay Region.
On March 31, five individuals were rescued alive in Mandalay, while the bodies of 27 deceased individuals—16 men and 11 women—were recovered.
Since the onset of the disaster, a total of 403 people have been rescued alive, and the bodies of 259 deceased individuals have been recovered in Mandalay Region.

At least 12 people have reportedly died due to the collapse of the men's dormitory, the workshop, and the women's dormitory at Obo Prison in Mandalay.
According to a statement released by the Political Prisoners Network Myanmar (PPNM) on April 1, the collapse of the men's workshop in Obo Prison has been confirmed, resulting in the death of one male prisoner and serious injuries to another. Additionally, internal partition walls between dormitories collapsed.
The collapse of Women’s Dormitory 1 and Dormitory 2 resulted in the confirmed deaths of at least two female prisoners, with approximately ten others sustaining injuries.
PPNM is still working to verify additional details. As of now, it has not been possible to differentiate between the casualties among prisoners and prison staff. However, preliminary reports indicate that a total of 12 people have died due to the earthquake at the prison.

The terrorist SAC is exploiting earthquake-affected civilians to gain international aid, portraying itself as a legitimate government while neglecting its responsibility to conduct proper rescue and relief operations.

U.S.-based Christian organization Samaritan's Purse has dispatched medical teams, including doctors, nurses, and skilled professionals, to Myanmar, as announced by Christian evangelist Franklin Graham on March 31 via social media.
The organization is sending personnel to earthquake-affected areas in Myanmar and is planning to establish a temporary field hospital equipped with two surgical units.
The field hospital will include emergency care units, inpatient facilities, and treatment rooms. The team will consist of doctors, nurses, water sanitation experts, and rescue personnel, with a total workforce ranging from 80 to 130 members.
Additionally, medical supplies and emergency relief materials will be airlifted to support the relief efforts in the affected areas.

The initial deployment consists of 58 personnel, including members from the Philippine medical assistance team and coordinators from the Office of Civil Defense. Additionally, 33 more personnel are scheduled to be deployed on April 2, 2025, via a C-130 aircraft.
These personnel are bringing essential search and rescue equipment and medical supplies, and they are now fully prepared to carry out life-saving rescue operations.

The NUG Representative Office (South Korea) has transferred an initial installment of MMK 100 million (100,000,000 MMK) (approximately KRW 33,898,310) from the earthquake relief donations collected for Myanmar’s earthquake victims.
Following the March 28 earthquake in Sagaing, which caused severe destruction and losses, NUG Representative U Yan Naing Htun has been leading the initiative to collect public-to-public donations under the NUG Representative Office Earthquake Relief Fund.
The first MMK 100 million installment has now been transferred to the Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management under the National Unity Government (NUG) for further relief efforts.
The NUG Representative Office also expressed profound gratitude and respect to all Myanmar nationals in South Korea who generously contributed to the relief efforts.

The Sagaing People’s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha) has provided food supplies to 500 households affected by the earthquake in Sagaing Township.
The relief effort was led by Sagaing Township Pa Ka Pha (Zone 2) and Sagaing Township Pa Ka Pha Battalion 2, distributing 44 sacks of rice, 10 containers of cooking oil, 1,000 bulbs of garlic, and tomatoes to affected households.
This news was reported by Min Thihan, a correspondent for Radio NUG.
