On the evening of April 19, the Mor Pha Thu military base of the junta forces in the eastern ridge of Dawna Range, Karen State, was seized by a joint force including KNU Brigade 7, according to Thai news sources. The operation resulted in the capture of a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition, and junta troops reportedly fled the base.
The attack on the Mor Pha Thu base, located in Myawaddy Township, began on the evening of April 18, and the base was successfully seized within a day, reports say.
Due to clashes and airstrikes carried out by the junta's air force, Thai media report that local residents from the Myanmar side, including women and children, fled across the border into Thailand for safety.
With the situation now stabilizing, Thai authorities are reportedly arranging for the return of more than 100 displaced individuals to the Myanmar side.

The KNU’s Myeik–Dawei District Command under Brigade 4 has issued a statement of commendation honoring the allied revolutionary forces who fought alongside KNU and KNLA Brigade 4 in the battle to seize the Thit Hta strategic military base.
The statement acknowledges participation between April 12 and 19 by the following units:
- KNLA Brigade 4 Headquarters Units
- KNLA Battalions 10, 11, and 203
- KNDO Battalion 7
- KNU’s Myeik–Dawei District Forestry Department
- NUG-People’s Defense Force (PDF) Dawei District Battalions 1 and 2
- FFD (Federal Forces for Democracy)
- KDSF (Karen Drone Special Forces)
- Dragon Square UAV
- CDM police from Bawpyin Township
- KNPF (Karen National Police Force)
- TPLF (Dawei People's Liberation Force)

The statement also recognizes the sacrifices made by brave youths and comrades who strive to dismantle the dictatorship and build a peaceful society through the establishment of a Federal Union, honoring their commitment and resilience.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Two Junta Security Personnel Killed in Close-Range Attack in Mying

According to the Pakokku District Pa Ka Pha (PDF), two junta forces personnel were killed in a close-range attack in the northern part of Mying Town, Pakokku District, Magway Region.
The attack occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 20. While junta soldiers, police, and Pyu Saw Htee militia members were distracted by eating and attending to other tasks, they were suddenly ambushed and shot at close range.
As a result of the assault, two junta security personnel were reportedly killed. The resistance forces also seized one MA-1 rifle, one carbine rifle, and 23 rounds of ammunition.
The operation was jointly carried out by Mying Pa Ka Pha, Anyar Joint Forces, and the Point-1000 Bo Pyone Unit.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Administrator of Nga Shay Yoe Group Eliminated for Attempting to Conscript Youths

The underground resistance force in Oakpho Township has issued a statement confirming the elimination of the administrator of the Nga Shay Yoe group based in Kyauksu Village, Thayarwaddy District, Bago Region.
At around 6:10 a.m. on April 20, the administrator, identified as Nai Oo, was shot point-blank in the head and killed on the spot while attempting to conscript local youths during a donation event in Nga Shay Yoe Village.
The operation was carried out by Oakpho Unit of the Underground Guerrilla Force under Battalion 3802, Company 4, Thayarwaddy District. Items recovered include two grenades, one mobile phone, 100,000 kyats in cash, and one national ID card.
The statement added that Nai Oo had been armed by the junta and had actively used those weapons and grenades to extort forced military conscription fees from the public. He was also reportedly involved in threatening and abducting not only youths but also elderly men over 60 years old, and in harassing and provoking both revolutionary groups and civilians. These actions led to the targeted operation against him.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. SAC Forces Launch Ground Offensive on Puzonmyaung Village Using Heavy Weapons, Drones, and Air Support

According to an announcement by Fire Dragon Column, the military junta launched a ground offensive on Puzonmyaung Village, located in Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, using heavy artillery, drones, and air support.
On April 20, at approximately 5:20 a.m., over 60 SAC troops advanced into the village, where they encountered resistance from Fire Dragon Column Unit P2 - 3703, leading to an armed clash.
During the battle, three junta soldiers, including an officer, were reportedly killed, and no fewer than five others sustained injuries. The junta forces subsequently retreated.
Following their retreat, SAC forces reportedly attempted a counteroffensive, deploying additional drone strikes, heavy weapons, and even an MI-35 attack helicopter in an effort to regain momentum.
As of now, the SAC troops have been unable to advance further and are still being held off by local resistance, according to Fire Dragon Column.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. SAC Airstrike on School in Kunship Village, Shwebo Township: Two Women Killed Including a Pregnant Woman; Baby Delivered by Emergency Surgery Also Dies

At around 3:15 p.m. on April 20, a school in Kunship Village, Shwebo Township, was bombed by a jet fighter belonging to the military junta, according to local reports.
The airstrike resulted in the deaths of two women, including a pregnant woman who was in the late stages of pregnancy. Additionally, nine people sustained injuries.
Emergency surgery was performed in an attempt to save the unborn child from the deceased pregnant woman. Despite efforts to rescue the baby, the child also did not survive, according to the report.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 7. SAC Airstrike on Yange Village in Tharyar Chaung Township Kills Two Civilians, Including a 7-Year-Old Child

On the morning of April 19, at around 11 a.m., Yange Village in Tharyar Chaung Township was bombed by junta aircraft without any preceding ground clashes, according to reports from the area.
The airstrike killed two civilians — a 7-year-old child and a man in his 50s — and left four other villagers injured.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 8. Two Military Conscripts Defect to Loikaw Local PDF

According to a statement from Loikaw Local People’s Defense Force (PDF), two military conscripts from the SAC’s Light Infantry Battalion No. 517, based in Mong Pawn Township, Southern Shan State, have defected.
On April 19, the two soldiers — Maung Than Soe Oo and another unnamed serviceman — surrendered without weapons and joined the local PDF in Loikaw Township.
Both individuals had recently completed Week 5 and Week 6 of the junta’s military conscription training. Reports state that they were forcibly recruited during a pre-emptive raid and subjected to coercion and pressure while in service.
The defectors were received warmly and are now being housed in a secure location. The local PDF affirmed that their rights to freedom and self-determination would be respected in accordance with their wishes.
