๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Resistance Forces Capture Thit Hta Strategic Base and Kill Military Council Commander; KNU Sends Letter of Commendation to Tavoy People's Liberation Force
On April 19, 2025, the Thit Hta Strategic Base located near the Thai border in Dawei District was successfully captured through a coordinated operation led by Brigade (4) of the Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA), in collaboration with the Tavoy People's Liberation Force (TPLF), the Force for Federal Democracy (FFD), allied resistance units, and drone trainees of the brigade. According to the Force for Federal Democracy, the operation resulted in the death and capture of the Military Council’s strategic commander stationed at the base.
In recognition of the successful joint seizure of the Thit Hta base, the KNU of Myeik-Dawei District has formally presented a certificate of commendation to the Tavoy People’s Liberation Force. The TPLF acknowledged receipt of this commendation with appreciation and announced it publicly.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. At Least 41 Civilians Killed and 58 Injured in Junta Airstrikes Across Thabeikkyin, Singu, and Madaya Townships
Between April 1 and April 19, 2025, the Military Council conducted a total of 18 airstrikes: 13 in Thabeikkyin Township, 4 in Singu Township, and 1 in Madaya Township. As confirmed by the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay), these air raids resulted in the deaths of at least 41 civilians and left no fewer than 58 injured.
Among the deceased were at least 7 children who were underage. The airstrikes were reportedly not aimed at military targets but instead directed toward civilian areas, including marketplaces, schools, religious buildings, and residential homes—areas where civilians were actively going about their daily lives.
The attacks led to widespread destruction, including the complete devastation of one school and 54 residential buildings.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Military Council Launches Airstrikes on Wantho (Kawlin District) and Nganzun Township (Mandalay Region)
In Wantho Township, Kawlin District, the Military Council carried out a nighttime airstrike on Nancho Village using fighter jets, firing two rounds. The attack resulted in the destruction of a monastery and a Dhamma hall. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, according to an April 20 announcement by Kawlin Info.
Similarly, on April 20 at 3:01 PM, the junta launched an aerial assault on Khaungbo Village in Nganzun Township using a Tantabin-based fighter aircraft, dropping two 250-pound bombs and strafing the area surrounding the village with machine gun fire. The incident was reported by the local resistance group CDSOM (Nganzun Division).
The attack led to the destruction of a school building in Nganzun Township, Mandalay Region. However, no civilian casualties or injuries were reported.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Temporarily Secures Road Section in Naypyidaw for Over 3 Hours, Detains SAC Captain for Interrogation
On April 19, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) under the Oppressed People's Revolutionary Force (OPRF-PLA) conducted a security operation by controlling a road section in Ottarathiri Township, Naypyidaw Region, for more than three hours, according to a confirmed report.
During the operation, they successfully apprehended Captain Phyo Min Kyaw of the junta’s forces, assigned to Factory No. 13 (Defense Equipment Factory Headquarters), along with Warrant Officer Aung Zaw Naing of Field Engineering Battalion No. 910, Subdivision No. 3, and Deputy Police Officer Tun Pyay Sone.
Following the operation, as PLA forces withdrew from the controlled area, they encountered junta troops and a brief clash ensued, during which several junta personnel were reportedly killed.
From the captured captain, the PLA seized military equipment and personal belongings including over 20 million kyats in cash. The OPRF-PLA reported that all their members returned safely without any casualties and considered the operation a success.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. At Least 3 Junta Troops Killed in Clashes with Resistance Forces During Incursion into Moe Bye Town
On the night of April 18, a column of approximately 30 junta soldiers infiltrated Moe Bye Town in southern Shan State, sparking intense clashes with resistance forces under the Karenni Nationalities Army (KNA), according to confirmed reports.
During the engagement, at least three junta troops were killed and many others sustained injuries.
KNA forces seized two MA-1 rifles and ammunition from the junta troops. The KNA stated that their side suffered no casualties and that the junta forces eventually retreated due to heavy losses.
Civilians have been urged to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary movement during this period of heightened conflict.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 6. Drug Dealer Arrested in Naungcho with Evidence by Township Police Force
On April 17, acting on intelligence, the township police force of Ta’ang (TNLA-controlled) region raided the residence of 30-year-old Kyaw Soe Khine, a resident of Pahat Ward in Naungcho Town, for suspected drug trafficking. According to a TNLA press release, authorities discovered and confiscated narcotics during the search.
Items seized from the residence included stimulant tablets and one large and one small M-150 energy drink bottle containing liquid suspected to be heroin. The total street value of the seized substances is estimated at 500,000 kyats. The suspect is being prosecuted under applicable narcotics laws by the township police force.
In a similar incident on April 2, at approximately 2:30 PM, the same township police force searched the home of U Sein Paung, a resident of Ward (8) in Kyaukme Town, based on a tip-off. The search yielded a large quantity of narcotic substances, including methamphetamine tablets, commonly known as “crazy pills,” leading to the suspect’s arrest under drug laws.
