๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Coordinated Offensive by Resistance Forces in Shwebo Township Leaves 17 Junta and Pyu Fighters Dead

On June 28, 2025, at around 6:30 AM, People’s Defense Forces (Pa Ka Pha) from Shwebo Township, supported by allied units, launched a coordinated offensive on three military positions in Hinthar Gyi (Pyu) Village, including the Pyu militia camp and the SAC’s outpost hill, in Shwebo District, Sagaing Region.

Simultaneous assaults were carried out on the Pyu camp and the SAC hill outpost, while multiple drone bombings were conducted on the junta’s command post near Bo Nat Mountain.

The joint attack was led by the Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha commander and included forces from:

  • Shwebo Township PDF
  • District-wide PDFs from sectors (2), (4), and (5)
  • Ye-U Township PDF
  • Depayin Township PDF – Group 3
  • Shwebo Federal Tech Drone Unit (PDO)
  • Butalin Township Drone Unit
  • Sector (5) Drone Unit

As a result of the assault, resistance forces successfully seized five Pyu militia bunkers in Hinthar Gyi (Pyu) Village. However, during the follow-up effort to capture the SAC outpost hill, junta reinforcements from Kyaung Myoung-based LIB-12 and Shwebo-based LID-42 engaged with heavy weapons (105mm and 120mm mortars), forcing resistance units to temporarily retreat.

Eyewitness accounts from fighters confirmed that 17 enemy personnel were killed in the fighting, including one officer and seven more in follow-up operations, as confirmed by locals.

During the operation, 18 detainees were captured, but due to the tense military situation and their identities—including children, women, and elderly civilians—they were subsequently released to safety.

Seized materials included:

  • 2 carbines
  • 1 9mm pistol
  • 1 G-3 rifle
  • 66 rounds of 9mm ammunition
  • 635 rounds of G-3 ammunition
  • 4 magazines

However, two resistance fighters were killed in action, and four others sustained injuries during the battle.
