๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. Over USD 75,000 Raised from Live in Florida Music Concert by Singers Lynn Lynn and Chit Thu Wai

The Live in Florida music concert led by singers Lynn Lynn and Chit Thu Wai raised over USD 75,000, according to event organizers.

Held on June 28 in Florida, United States, the Live in Florida concert was organized as part of the resistance fundraising efforts.

The event was spearheaded by singers Lynn Lynn and Chit Thu Wai. Also in attendance were Myanmar communities in the U.S. and prominent figures including Daw Zing Mar Aung, Union Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government (NUG).

The concert successfully raised more than USD 75,000 for the revolution fund.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 2. UN Human Rights Envoy Urges Global Community Not to Recognize Junta’s Sham Election

Mr. Tom Andrews, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, has urged the international community not to recognize the sham election being orchestrated by the military junta, according to U Aung Myo Min, NUG Minister of Human Rights.

Minister Aung Myo Min stated,

“At the 59th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Mr. Tom Andrews provided a verbal update on the current human rights situation in Myanmar. He spotlighted the grave humanitarian needs of the Myanmar people resulting from the junta’s atrocities. He expressed concern about the dwindling international humanitarian support at this critical time and emphasized the urgent need to enhance such assistance.
He further called on the international community to:

  • Cut off financial flows that support the junta,
  • Impose an arms embargo, and
  • Refuse to recognize the junta’s upcoming sham elections.”

The Human Rights Minister also stressed that the junta is attempting to manufacture international legitimacy through these fake elections and emphasized that withholding recognition is of paramount importance.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. NUG Justice Minister to Participate in Federal Democracy Constitution Introduction and Dialogue Event

The Federal Democracy Constitution Introduction and Dialogue event will be held with the participation of the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Ministry of Justice, it has been confirmed.

The event is scheduled for July 2 and will be conducted via Zoom Meeting.

The dialogue session will be led by U Thein Oo, Union Minister of Justice of the NUG. It aims to introduce and discuss the Federal Democracy Constitution, which plays a vital role in shaping Myanmar’s future federal democratic nation.

The NUG Representative Office in the Republic of Korea has also issued an announcement inviting public participation in this important discussion.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 4. House Fire in Mone Wee Town Extinguished Through Joint Effort by PSLF/TNLA Firefighters, Ta’ang Township Police Force, and Local Residents

June 30

The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has confirmed that a fire broke out at a residence in Ward 1 of Mone Wee Town, located in Namkham District, Military Region 6, Ta’ang Region.

According to reports, the incident occurred at 7:50 AM on June 29, when Daw Zaw Khin was away from home. A mentally ill individual named U Rifet, who remained in the house, set the residence on fire.

The fire completely destroyed all property inside the house, resulting in an estimated total loss exceeding MMK 7.8 million.

At the time of the fire, PSLF/TNLA firefighters, members of the Ta’ang Township Police Force, and local civilians joined efforts to extinguish the flames and were able to bring the fire under control by 8:20 AM.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 5. Student Armed Force (Central Command) Conducts Training on Women's Participation and Peacebuilding Roles

At the Central Command Headquarters of the Myanmar-wide Student Democratic Force (Student Armed Force), discussions and trainings were held on the importance of women’s participation in peacebuilding sectors.

The Women, Peace and Security (WPS) training was conducted for soldiers at the Dawngtaman Base of the Central Command on June 14 and 15.

During the sessions, participants were taught about the significance of women’s involvement in peacebuilding processes, and guidelines were provided on how to effectively integrate these principles into their respective responsibilities and duties.
