๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Ceremony held to honor parents of fallen comrade and present uniform and flag

A ceremony was held to pay respects to the parents of a fallen comrade and to present them with a uniform and a flag.

Comrade Teza from the YMP Pakokku People’s Defense Force (ULF) was killed in action with honor and bravery during the camp seizure operation at Zee Phyu Kone (Pyu) Village, Pale Township.

According to reports, the ULF column commander and fellow comrades visited the parents of Comrade Teza to pay their respects and presented them with a uniform and a flag.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. SAC forces attacking Nan Mone Tar Village in Tamu Township engaged; six enemy bodies recovered and nine firearms seized

It has been reported that around 80 troops from the SAC’s Infantry Battalion 228, operating from Yan Gyi Aung Village, together with allied Pyu Saw Htee militia, launched an assault on Nan Mone Tar Village in Tamu Township, Tamu District, Sagaing Region.

The junta forces began their offensive on August 5, advancing on Nan Mone Tar Village. Resistance forces counterattacked, and on August 8, the enemy retreated.

The counteroffensive was carried out jointly by resistance forces from Tamu District, Mawleik District, Kale District, as well as the KNA(B), NLA, and CNA.

On August 8, the junta launched airstrikes against the pagoda in Nan Mone Tar Village using one Yak-130 jet from Tada-U Air Base, dropping two 250-pound bombs, followed by an attack from one MiG-29 jet from Tada-U, which dropped cluster bombs. The enemy also deployed OWA-type kamikaze drones.

During the battle, resistance forces seized nine firearms and some ammunition from the enemy. Six junta troops were killed, and more than 20 were wounded. On the resistance side, five comrades fell heroically in battle, and three weapons were lost. This was confirmed in a statement from Military Region No. 1.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. ABSDF holds graduation ceremony for the 10th Weekly Basic Military Training Course

On August 8, 2025, the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) Column No. 2 held a joint event commemorating the 37th anniversary of the 8.8.88 People’s Uprising and the graduation ceremony for the 10th Weekly Basic Military Training Course (Batch No. 2/2025). The event took place at the Basic Military Training Department of ABSDF Column No. 2.

The ceremony was attended by senior leaders and central committee members of the ABSDF Student Army, column commanders and unit commanders, commanders from the allied KIO/KIA, senior officials from the ULA/AA Arakan Army, commanders from the KPDF, senior officials from the Kathar People’s Defense Force, commanders from the Burma People’s Liberation Army (BPLA), and members of the public.

During the event, a graduate from the 10th Weekly Basic Military Training Course delivered a speech of gratitude. ABSDF leaders gave words of encouragement to the graduating comrades. Discussions were also held reviewing the events of the 8.8.88 Uprising and the Spring Revolution of 2021. The program included a presentation on the origins of the 8.8.88 Uprising and an award ceremony honoring distinguished comrades.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Emergency travel advisory issued for Monywa–Kyaukka–Ayadaw road section and Kyaukka–Baw Dhi Ta Htaung road section

An emergency travel advisory has been issued for the Monywa–Kyaukka–Ayadaw road section and the Kyaukka–Baw Dhi Ta Htaung road section.

According to the Monywa People’s Defense Force, on August 11, junta forces launched large-scale offensives in these areas, and the roads have been designated as active combat zones.

As a result, the public is strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and to avoid traveling through these routes under any circumstances.

The advisory stated that an announcement will be made when the roads are safe for public use again.
