The Maw Ner Plaw region, which used to serve as the former headquarters of the Karen National Union (KNU) in Hpa-An Township, saw the capture of Base No. (913) Rapid Deployment Battalion's Noh Day camp, the last remaining base in the area. This was confirmed by KNU spokesperson Padoh Saw Taw Nee.

"The military council's troops in Maw Ner Plaw have been completely eradicated. On December 16, at approximately 4:30 PM, Base No. (913) at Maw Ner Plaw and Artillery Unit 311 were entirely defeated, and the Maw Ner Plaw region has been cleared of military council forces," stated the Force for Federal Democracy (FFD).

The operation was led by the KNLA, joined by the 7th Brigade Commando Unit, KNDO troops, Battalion 22, and the 5th Brigade Commando Unit, as well as FFD's drone unit, ground combat forces, the 7th Brigade drone team, and Federal Wings drone team.

While the area has been cleared, specific details regarding casualties among military council troops, and the capture of weapons and ammunition, are still unavailable.

The Noh Day base, located in the 7th Brigade's territory near the Thai-Myanmar border, had its supply routes cut off and was besieged since November, according to reports.

Previously, the combined KNLA forces had already captured key strategic locations, including the Kheh Saw Wah Lay (Sin Phyu Taung Camp), Myaw Kun, Thadoh Wah Lay, Keh Kaw Kyu, and Phu Law Kun camps, leaving Maw Ner Plaw free of military council presence.
