It has been reported that the AYA PDF, Unit (29) Strategic People's Defense Force, has been officially introduced.

On December 27, AYA PDF, Unit (29), Strategic Command released an announcement.

According to the statement, the AYA PDF, Unit (29), also known as the Ayeyarwady PDF, is an organized People's Defense Force established under the National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Defense. It operates under the Southern Military Region, Division (2) Sub-region, Ayeyarwady Region Command. This unit is characterized as a disciplined, well-organized force with competent leaders and soldiers, possessing strong combat capabilities.

The announcement added that this unit has garnered a moderate level of combat experience and aims to be a trusted force for all citizens of Myanmar.

The AYA PDF, Unit (29), Strategic Command communicates its activities, records, and the support received from donors through its official Facebook page. They issue detailed reports on their operations and donations while also sending acknowledgments and certificates of appreciation to contributors. Additionally, they promise to provide timely updates on military developments and other relevant news.

The Strategic Unit (81) Yaw Strategic Command reported that 12 individuals, including junta soldiers and their family members who fled Battalion 274 in Min Dat Township following a military defeat, were captured and detained.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Airstrike Near Pekin Market in Phaik Khon Township Injures Two Displaced Civilians

At 3:20 PM on December 27, two displaced civilians were injured during an airstrike carried out by the junta’s fighter jets near Pekin Market in Phaik Khon Township. According to local reports, the military dropped two 500-pound bombs in the densely populated area.

The explosion destroyed five homes and injured two individuals:

A woman in her 70s who sustained injuries to her ear.

A young man in his 20s, injured in one arm while walking nearby.

Both individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Two Women Killed in Gant Gaw Township by Heavy Artillery Shelling from Battalion 50

At approximately 3 PM on December 27, junta forces from Battalion 50 in Gant Gaw Town launched three rounds of 122mm heavy artillery (Howitzers) towards the west bank of the Myittha River, according to a report from Yaw Alintan.

One artillery shell struck a civilian residence in Zaho Village, while the other two exploded in nearby farmland.

The attack caused the death of two women who were inside the home:

Daw Tha Si, a woman in her 70s.

Ma Mee Wai, a woman in her 20s.

Their residence was also destroyed by the shelling.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Clash in Myetni Kwin Village, Pyu Township: Two Civilians Killed by Junta Artillery Shelling

A clash occurred on December 26 between the junta troops advancing into Myetni Kwin Village, Pyu Township, Bago Region, and the Southern Military Region’s Division (2) Sub-region PDF Battalion (3502), according to reports.

During the battle, junta forces stationed at Battalion 73 in Zayat Gyi indiscriminately fired artillery, resulting in shells landing in Htan Kone Village. The explosions caused the deaths of two innocent civilians on the spot and left a six-year-old child with a serious head injury.

Similarly, on December 27, junta forces continued attacks using artillery and drones, targeting villages including Tharyet Kone, Myetni Kwin, Kan Ka Lay, and Nyo Khin. These attacks caused damage to civilian homes and properties, with reports of injuries among villagers.

It has been noted that junta forces frequently use artillery and drones to attack villages indiscriminately. On December 22, resistance forces managed to seize an eVTOL-type drone from the junta during an operation near the Sit Taung River basin.

On December 25, members of the Political Department of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) visited a war-displacement camp in a conflict-affected area and provided rice and warm clothing to those displaced by fighting between junta troops and resistance forces.

In addition to the donations, the team organized a political seminar at the camp. They also performed songs and delivered motivational speeches to offer emotional support to the displaced civilians.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. 7,000-Meter Paved Road Completed in Thapate Kyin Township by PDF Forces

The Bo Lin Yone PDF Force from Thapate Kyin District has completed constructing a 7,000-meter-long and 28-foot-wide road in a specific location within Thapate Kyin Township, according to the voice of the PDF.

The road construction was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mandalay Region PDF authorities and the Pyin Oo Lwin District PDF Commander. The road was built with a durable paved surface, ensuring the convenience and safety of local residents for transportation within a short period.
