Since the enactment of the Cyber Security Law on January 1, the military junta and its associates have intentionally violated human rights, arresting over 120 youth in 15 days, which is incompatible with democratic standards. Therefore, the Mandalay Strike Force has compiled a list of the youths who were illegally arrested, and it is reported that 19 were arrested in Aung Myay Thar Zan Township, 15 in Chan Aye Thar Zan Township, 17 in Maha Aung Myay Township, 19 in Chan Mya Thar Si Township, 19 in Pyay Gyi Ta Khun Township, 18 in Amarapura Township, and 15 in Patheingyi Township, totaling 122 youths. This information is based on media reports; therefore, the actual situation on the ground may be higher, according to the statement. The military junta forces are arresting civilians day and night under the Military Service Law and at night under the Mandatory Guest List Law, targeting young people from the grassroots community returning from work, and illegally arresting them under the Cyber Security Law, which was passed on January 1. Therefore, the Mandalay Strike Force urges the public to disable VPNs and other applications before going out or checking guest lists, to avoid going to parties as much as possible, to be careful when leaving home, and to constantly monitor the activities of the military junta mechanisms in their surroundings and avoid them in advance. In addition, the Mandalay Strike Force urges the public to prepare for situations in which families and individuals are threatened and forced to be recruited as new soldiers, as well as to report any illegal arrests in their neighborhood to revolutionary forces.
