During the commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of the Panglong Agreement, Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG), Duwa Lashi La, stated:

“We cannot afford to hesitate or delay when it comes to defeating the common enemy. We must not waste time ‘marking boundaries’ and lingering unnecessarily. In the revolutionary war, while strategic military preparations are crucial, if we fail to ‘strike while the iron is hot,’ we risk losing rare and valuable opportunities in our revolutionary history.”

Additionally, he urged all parties to refrain from resolving internal conflicts with weapons and to avoid the use of gunfire, emphasizing peaceful solutions instead.

He further remarked:

“Our generation is fulfilling the responsibilities of the revolution, and future generations should be entrusted with the duty of rebuilding the nation. It is of utmost importance that we complete our revolutionary tasks within our own generation. We must pass on a Federal Democratic Union to our future generations.”
