๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. KNDF Deputy Commander Urges Collaboration with Karenni State Immigration on Travel Permits
KNDF Deputy Commander Mawwi has urged cooperation with Karenni State Immigration regarding the issuance of travel permits in Karenni State.
"Karenni State Immigration will carry out its designated responsibilities. Our role is simply to continue fulfilling our own duties. At border checkpoints, inspection points, and areas where verification is required, it is Immigration’s responsibility to monitor, verify, and approve entry and exit, as well as to resolve any arising issues.
Our role is to register individuals based on their actual status—whether they are residents, actively engaged in the revolution, displaced persons, or arriving for any other reason. This applies to both locals and non-locals, visitors, homeowners, and those who may be in between. Regardless of when they arrived—whether they have been here since the beginning of the revolution or just arrived recently—everyone must undergo the registration process," he stated.
The travel permit serves as a form of self-protection. In the event of an accusation, the official identification and registration records will provide legal protection, according to reports.
