Minister of Defence U Yi Mon announced on February 2 during the "Nway Oo Revolution European Conference" that the PDF (People's Defence Forces) are now capable of engaging in long-term urban and military base siege battles. He said, "We have built a strong force capable of engaging the enemy. Unlike before, we are no longer operating with small guerrilla units. In order to break through the enemy's forces, we too needed to build a large and capable fighting force, which we have successfully done. Guerrilla warfare typically involves shorter engagements, but urban and military base sieges require long-term battles. If necessary, we will fight for days or even months." The Minister emphasized that the PDF has successfully accomplished these objectives. During the lengthy 53-day siege of Pinlebu, combined revolutionary forces, including the PDF, achieved victory.

Maung Sawng Kha shared, "This time, we managed to achieve success." On February 1, at 11:00 AM, a combined alliance of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), People's Defence Forces (PDF), Burmese People's Liberation Army (BPLA), and Force for Federal Democracy (FFD) successfully captured the military stronghold at Meplibyu. Over 20 members of the military council, including officers, were also taken prisoner during the operation.

On February 2, at 4:16 AM, the SAC (State Administration Council) dropped a 500-pound bomb near Htauk Kyent Gong village in Ka Ni Township, Sagaing Division, killing four civilians and injuring seven. The local revolutionary forces in Ka Ni confirmed the incident. The bombing caused fatal casualties among civilians, and the victims were reportedly left unrecognizable. A warning about airstrikes by the SAC was issued to the public. The Ka Ni revolutionary forces expressed their condolences, saying, "The images of the incident were horrifying. We pray that those who passed away may rest in peace."

The Ye Bilu group reported on February 3rd that two political prisoners who had been arrested under the political article in Ye Township, Mon State, were rescued. On February 2nd, the Ye Bilu group confirmed that one more political prisoner, who had been unlawfully detained under article 52(c) of the law, was rescued by Ye Bilu troops from Division 1. The group managed to free two political prisoners who were detained at the Ye Township police station, after a fierce confrontation with the police officers and soldiers guarding the station. The clash resulted in the deaths of one police officer and two soldiers.

On January 31st, revolutionary forces attacked the Meizali Police Station in Myeik District, Magway Region, with drones, resulting in damage to the police and military personnel, and the station was temporarily abandoned. Additionally, on February 1st, the revolutionary forces launched a drone strike on the Lepato station in Minbu District, Magway Region. The attack resulted in a joint confrontation with the SAC military forces near Meizali Station and in the vicinity of Madekone village in Pwint Phyu Township, as confirmed by the Earthquake People's Defence Force. The report also mentioned that the SAC forces, in their desperate retaliation, conducted bombings on Meizali village, fired heavy artillery at surrounding villages, and attacked with mortars. They also set fire to civilian homes in the area. These attacks were confirmed to have been carried out in cooperation with the Mying Pa Ka Pha, Paok Pa Ka Pha, Minbu District units 6 and 4, JOKER resistance units (MYG), Young Force People's Defence Force (PKU), and other revolutionary groups such as the Earthquake People's Defence Force.

The Indaw Revolution-IR group shared a public announcement requesting donations to help meet the basic needs of the SR-1 unit, which is actively involved in the battle. They have set a target of 100 bags of rice and other essential supplies to be collected by February 1st. The cost of one bag of rice is approximately 60,000 kyats based on local market prices. The Indaw Revolution-IR group further invited people who wish to support the revolutionary forces to reach out via their page messenger.

A member of the Kha Ma Ya 12th Special Forces unit, who was recruited for military service in Shwebo Township, defected with weapons and joined the revolutionary forces on January 20th, 2025. The Shwebo Ka Pha confirmed this defection, reporting that the defector brought weapons, including MA3 (1 hand), claymore mines (4), 5.56mm rounds (108), and grenades (4). The defector fled the military unit and joined the revolutionary forces. The defector will be honored and rewarded appropriately according to human rights standards, and it has been confirmed that many others are expected to join as well.
