March 10
Radio NUG
The ILO Governing Body is scheduled to hold meetings from March 10 to 20, 2025, during which discussions will take place on imposing measures against the Myanmar military junta under Article 33 of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Charter.
In response, a Facebook profile picture campaign has been launched to mobilize public support for decisive action against the junta. People inside and outside Myanmar are urged to join the campaign and advocate for strong and effective measures through their social media presence.
The campaign encourages users to update their profile pictures with messages such as:
๐น "Recognize NUG's Tripartite Delegations at the 113th ILC!"
๐น "ILO, Implement Article 33 on Myanmar Junta Now!"
These slogans call for the recognition of the National Unity Government (NUG) representatives at the 113th International Labour Conference (ILC) and for the ILO to take immediate action against the military junta under Article 33, which allows for stringent measures against member states that fail to comply with ILO conventions.
The news was reported by Min Thihan and Khur Shel, correspondents for Radio NUG.
