๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. A Nationwide General Offensive is Inevitable – Defense Minister U Yee Mon
March 13
Radio NUG
Defense Minister U Yee Mon stated that a large-scale general offensive, involving the People's Defense Force (PDF), the Pa Ka Pha, and all allied revolutionary forces, will be launched nationwide with tens of thousands of troops on various battlefronts. He expressed confidence that this offensive would bring an end to the military dictatorship.
This was mentioned in a message sent by U Yee Mon, the Union Minister of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG), at the graduation ceremony of the Weekly Commander Training Course (Batch 1).
"Looking at the current revolutionary situation, we can see that the People's Defense Force (PDF) has a significant responsibility—not only to ensure victory in the revolution but also to successfully establish the Federal Democratic Union that the people aspire to after the revolution. I believe that our comrades already understand this well. In the early phase of the revolution, while building our forces, we also had to lay the groundwork for nationwide military operations. In the second phase, we consolidated our strength, launched strategic offensives, and gained experience in urban and camp seizure battles," the minister stated.
Regarding the establishment of the People's Defense Force, he emphasized the following points:
All armed revolutionary forces of the Spring Revolution must be unified under a single banner and conduct a collective people's revolution.
The revolution must be directed towards systemic change, aligning with the principles of a Federal Democratic Union. The People's Defense Force must serve as a precursor to the future Federal Union Army.

According to the statement, on March 3 at around 1 PM, Ko Saing was taken by Major Pho Khwar from the 6th Township Battalion under the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), under the pretext of meeting with Colonel Thein Han, a central committee member of the KNDF, in the Karenni-controlled territory.

It also called for strict action against those who ordered and committed the crime and urged allied revolutionary forces to ensure justice for the case, as it poses a significant threat to the entire revolutionary movement.
