๐๐ 1. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s Son, Ko Htein Lin, Meets with NUG Ministers for Discussions
March 25
Radio NUG
Ko Htein Lin, the son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, held discussions with ministers from the National Unity Government (NUG), according to an announcement made on March 25 by U Aung Myo Min, the Union Minister for Human Rights.
"We had a simple and heartfelt conversation with a devoted son who deeply loves his mother. He earnestly said, 'Please do everything you can to secure my mother's swift release. Please advocate for her.' This was the straightforward plea of a son for the freedom and well-being of his 80-year-old mother.
How long must parents and children remain separated? How much longer must they endure the pain of being apart? When asked why he was involved in water-related aid efforts, he gave a simple response: 'It's very clear—humans cannot survive long without water. By ensuring access to water for those in need, I want to fulfill the ten benefits of water (an ethical Buddhist concept regarding the virtues of providing water).'
He doesn’t use excessive words or speak in riddles. He is simply a son who loves his mother, who wishes to do whatever he can for the people of Myanmar," said Union Minister U Aung Myo Min.

๐๐ 6. Thailand Should Not Invite Myanmar Junta Leader Min Aung Hlaing to the BIMSTEC Summit
March 25
Radio NUG
Thailand should not extend an invitation to Myanmar’s junta leader Min Aung Hlaing for the upcoming BIMSTEC Summit, according to the organization Defend Myanmar Democracy.
A report citing a credible source from Thai PBS stated that Thailand is making arrangements to invite Myanmar’s military leader Min Aung Hlaing to the BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Summit, which is set to take place in Bangkok in April.
The Defend Myanmar Democracy group warned that if Thailand were to officially welcome the junta leader, it would not merely be engaging in diplomatic engagement but rather complicit in legitimizing war crimes.
The organization urged BIMSTEC and its member nations to refrain from recognizing Myanmar’s military regime and to bar Min Aung Hlaing and his representatives from participating in the high-level summit.

๐๐ 7. Myanmar Faces a TB Crisis with 558 Cases per 100,000 People While the Military Regime Ignores Healthcare Spending
March 25
Radio NUG
Myanmar is currently facing a severe tuberculosis (TB) crisis, with an estimated 558 cases per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, the military regime has been neglecting healthcare funding and failing to allocate resources for disease prevention and treatment.
Instead of prioritizing public health, the junta has been diverting state funds towards violent repression and the destruction of the country. To not only defeat the military dictatorship but also dismantle its oppressive ideology and governance, it is essential to restore human rights and equality-based public health programs, according to the National TB Control Division under the NUG’s Ministry of Health.
Estimates indicate that while the TB prevalence is 558 per 100,000 people, only 239 cases per 100,000 are receiving treatment, meaning only 43% of patients have access to necessary medical care.
This news report was contributed by Min Thihan and Khur Shel from Radio NUG.
