๐๐ 1. Union Prime Minister Calls for Systematic Allocation of Authority Between Federal and Federal Unit Governments

Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than has emphasized the need for a systematic allocation of authority between the federal government and federal unit governments.
He made this statement during a meeting of the National Unity Government's (NUG) Central Committee for Interim Regional Public Administration.
"As discussions are already underway regarding the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament and the Interim Constitutional Framework, ministries must carefully prepare the division of authority between the federal government and federal unit governments. In terms of governance, both policy-making and implementation must be carried out effectively. It is crucial for each ministry to reinforce its human resources as needed and enhance inter-ministerial coordination for better efficiency," the Prime Minister stated.
The meeting was chaired by Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than and attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, and other relevant officials.

๐๐ 2. Earthquake Alert Issued

At approximately 12:50 PM Myanmar Standard Time on March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck 16 kilometers northwest of Sagaing. The earthquake, which originated at a depth of 10 kilometers, was a strike-slip event affecting Bangladesh, India, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and China.
About 12 minutes after the initial quake, a significant aftershock with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred 18 kilometers south of Sagaing.
Due to the possibility of further aftershocks, authorities have urged residents to remain cautious. The NUG Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has shared guidelines on necessary precautions and safety measures.
In an emergency announcement, the NUG warned, "As this was a very strong earthquake, aftershocks are likely. Please remain vigilant. Safety instructions regarding earthquake preparedness, posted on March 5, remain applicable."
Deputy Minister Ngai Tam Maung of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management reiterated these warnings, urging the public to stay alert.

๐๐ 3. Temporary Battalion Commander of SAC’s Infantry Battalion 103 Captured After Deserting Military Convoy

A temporary battalion commander from Infantry Battalion 103 of the State Administration Council (SAC) forces, Lieutenant Colonel Thein Htike, has been captured and is currently being interrogated.
The No. 1 Military Battalion in Myeik District issued a statement on March 28, confirming the capture of Lieutenant Colonel Thein Htike, who had fled from an SAC military convoy.
According to reports, he was apprehended on the morning of March 26 at a resistance checkpoint along the Union Highway, where revolutionary forces were inspecting vehicles.
It is believed that Lieutenant Colonel Thein Htike attempted to flee to Yangon by disguising himself as a civilian and boarding a passenger vehicle.

๐๐ 4. Zoland - People's Defence Force Announces Control Over More Than 80% of Their Territory

The Zoland - People's Defence Force has announced that they have successfully taken control of over 80% of their territory.
"In the near future, we will be marking the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Zomi Federal Union/Zoland - People's Defence Force (ZFU/Zoland - PDF) in Chin State, located in the southwestern region of Myanmar. After the military coup in 2021, our People's Defence Force began its resistance with rudimentary firearms. Today, it has evolved into a well-organized revolutionary force. Through sustained battles against the military junta in collaboration with local resistance groups, we have now secured control over more than 80% of our territory," the statement read.
The Zoland - People's Defence Force also stated that the long-held dream of self-determination and self-governance for Chin State is gradually becoming a reality.

๐๐ 5. Aung Lan Pa Ka Pha Takes Full Responsibility for the Accidental Shooting of a Civilian

The People's Defence Force (Pa Ka Pha) based in Aung Lan Township, Magway Region, has stated that they will take full responsibility and ensure accountability for the accidental shooting of a civilian during a targeted attack on a junta-affiliated militia member.
The announcement was made by the Aung Lan Township People's Defence Force in a condolence statement issued on March 27 under the National Unity Government's Ministry of Defence, Division 1.
According to the statement, on the morning of March 26, at around 6:40 AM, Aung Lan Township People's Defence Force launched an operation targeting junta-affiliated militia member Air Var Gyi (also known as Ye Win Khine) near the villages of Aung Myay Kone and Ywar Ma Htone. During the operation, a civilian named U Aung Than Oo from Ywar Ma Htone Village was mistakenly shot.
Local residents reported that U Aung Than Oo was shot because his motorcycle was in close proximity to Air Var Gyi’s motorcycle, leading to confusion during the attack.
Subsequent investigations confirmed that U Aung Than Oo had no affiliation with the Pyu Saw Htee militia, prompting the Aung Lan Township People's Defence Force to issue a statement expressing deep regret and extending their sincere apologies to the victim’s family.

๐๐ 6. Nationwide Democratic Student Army Sends Message of Solidarity for PRA-Magway’s 4th Anniversary

The Nationwide Democratic Student Army (SDA) has sent a message of solidarity to mark the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Public Revolution Army - Magway (PRA-Magway).
In the message, the SDA acknowledged that PRA-Magway has laid down strong political foundations for achieving its revolutionary goals. The statement also expressed hope for continued victories through collective struggle alongside people of all ethnic backgrounds.
