πŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 2. United Bonds France Launches Raffle Ticket Sales to Raise Emergency Humanitarian Aid for Myanmar Earthquake Victims

April 8

To support urgent humanitarian needs in areas affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar, raffle tickets are now available for purchase through United Bonds France, according to reports.

“We urge everyone to take part. Each ticket is 20 euros. Let’s share and help together,” said Daw Nan Su Mon Aung, representative of the NUG in France.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to deliver essential humanitarian assistance—such as medicines, medical care for the injured, and support for displaced individuals—to those affected on the ground.

The raffle draw will be held during a fundraising bazaar organized by CBF on April 27 in Paris.

Each ticket is priced at €20 and includes the chance to win one of four prizes. Among them is a rare and historically significant lithograph by artist Ko Aung Ko, printed by hand at the renowned Γ‰cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Only 30 prints were made from a single lithographic stone, which has since been destroyed, making it a limited edition and collectible piece of art.

πŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 3. Supporters Claim Junta’s Election Is an “Escape Route” for the People—NUG Warns It’s Merely Backing Continued Oppression

April 8

Those promoting the military junta’s proposed election as a so-called “escape route” for the people are, in reality, supporting continued military rule, enslavement, and oppressive governance, said U Lin Thant, representative of the National Unity Government (NUG).

“The election planned by the military regime is one orchestrated by the armed forces themselves to maintain their power. It is based on the 2008 Constitution—drafted during the Nargis era to legitimize military dominance. This so-called election is nothing more than a ploy to enslave the citizens of Myanmar under military control,” he said.

He emphasized that the junta’s fabricated electoral process is designed to preserve its ability to seize power whenever it dislikes election outcomes—thus reinforcing a cycle of military dictatorship through a fake and symbolic vote.

“Those who claim that the junta’s election offers an escape route are, in effect, aiding and abetting the violent military council’s power, its campaign of militarized enslavement, and continued oppressive rule over the people,” he said.

He called on the public to collectively resist the sham election through a unified front of popular opposition.

The junta is reportedly planning to hold this fraudulent election towards the end of the year.
