It has been reported that the Pa Ka Pha in Mataya Township has carried out rescue and relief operations for civilians affected by the recent earthquake in areas under the control of the National Unity Government (NUG).
According to the Pa Ka Pha Information Team, the local People's Defense Force in Mataya Township took swift action to provide emergency aid and support to those impacted by the earthquake.
The powerful earthquake that struck on March 28 caused the collapse and destruction of religious buildings and residential homes in Mataya Township, which is governed by the NUG. The disaster also resulted in injuries and loss of life.

According to an April press release by UNICEF Myanmar, the organization has taken steps to supply critical hygiene materials to ensure good health and prevent illness among earthquake-affected children and families.
UNICEF emphasized the importance of clean water and personal hygiene following the natural disaster, highlighting these as crucial to safeguarding health in the aftermath of the quake.

๐๐ 3. European Commission Pledges Additional €10 Million for Myanmar Earthquake Relief
The European Commission has announced an additional €10 million in humanitarian assistance for earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar.
This follows the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Myanmar and its surrounding regions on March 28, 2025. The European Commission stated that the new funding will support ongoing humanitarian operations in response to the disaster.
The funds will be used to provide emergency shelter, medical care, clean water, sanitation services, family tracing, and reunification support.
With this new allocation, the European Union’s total humanitarian aid for the earthquake in Myanmar has reached €13 million. The support is part of the EU’s overall humanitarian aid budget of €46 million for Myanmar in 2025.

๐๐ 4. Japan Self-Defense Forces Deliver Medical Aid to Myanmar via C-130 Aircraft
Medical supplies and diagnostic equipment for disease detection, including other medical relief items, have arrived in Myanmar on a C-130 aircraft operated by the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
According to the Japanese Embassy in Yangon, the aircraft has reached Myanmar, symbolizing Japan’s commitment to standing in solidarity with the people of Myanmar.
These supplies were delivered as part of Japan’s emergency response following the extensive damage caused by the earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28. The Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) medical team aims to continue its humanitarian support in Myanmar with these provisions.
The Japanese government reiterated its unwavering policy of supporting the people of Myanmar during these difficult times. This includes addressing medical needs and providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance to benefit the people directly.

๐๐ 5. $29,151.66 Raised from Tu Tu's Revolution Music Concert in LA
April 9 – A total of $29,151.66 was raised from the revolution-themed music concert organized by singer Tu Tu, according to an announcement from LA NUG Supporters.
The concert, featuring Tu Tu's revolutionary music album, was held with a full spirit of resistance and was described as a successful event. Fans who admire Tu Tu, along with those standing firmly for truth and justice, turned out in large numbers and showed overwhelming support. After deducting expenses, the net proceeds amounted to $29,151.66.
The event featured performances by Tu Tu, Thun Thant Sin, Genavie, and members of the Los Angeles Band including Ko Khine Soe, Ko Moe Gyi, Ko Zaw Gyi, and Ko Maung Win. Sound engineer Ko Htun Oo and the technical team, as well as those who assisted in organizing auctions and helped sell out all tickets in a short time, contributed significantly. Many others also participated by selling, buying, or donating food.
The LA NUG Supporters family expressed their heartfelt gratitude and respect to everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
