📌📌 1. NUCC Appeals to Chin Revolutionary Allied Forces to Cease Armed Clashes and Prioritize Political Dialogue

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) released an appeal on July 8 expressing deep concern over the ongoing internal disagreements and subsequent armed clashes among Chin revolutionary allied forces.

In the statement, the NUCC urged all Chin revolutionary partners to place the interests of the revolution and the people above all else and to immediately cease all forms of armed conflict among themselves. It also called for resolving disagreements through political dialogue.

Furthermore, the NUCC affirmed its readiness to participate and assist in coordination efforts for conflict resolution if needed.

📌📌 2. Deputy Commander-in-Chief Saw Baw Kyaw Heh and Officials Attend the 76th Karen National Liberation Army Day Commemorative Tree-Planting Event

On July 5, 2025, in celebration of the 76th Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Day, a tree-planting ceremony was jointly held at the Thanlwin Peace Park in Mu Traw District, Kawthoolei Administrative Area, under the auspices of the Karen National Union (KNU).

The event marked both the annual KNLA Day and the July Kawthoolei Joint Tree-Planting Month.

Prominent attendees included:

  • Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Karen National Liberation Army, Lieutenant General Saw Baw Kyaw Heh,
  • Chief of Staff General Man Sha Tu Gaw,
  • Permanent Central Committee Member of the KNU, Deputy Commander Saw Aung Si,
  • Commander of Military Region (5), Colonel Saw Gi Nui,
  • Other military leaders, KNLA officers, members of the Karen Women’s Organization, representatives from the Forestry Department, and local civilians.

The collective event commemorated the Karen resistance movement’s longstanding commitment to ethnic self-determination and environmental preservation.

📌📌 3. Illicit Liquor Confiscated and Destroyed in Mindat Town During Preemptive Checks

In Mindat Town, Chin State, during a second round of preemptive inspections, restricted alcoholic beverages were discovered and destroyed, according to an official statement released on July 8 alongside documentation of the destruction.

The illegal alcohol was seized during patrols by the Mindat Township People’s Administration Team in coordination with the People’s Security Force, and was destroyed in the presence of the owner on July 8.
