🚩🚩 1. Junta Air Force Launches Another Series of Jet Fighter Bombing Raids on Kyaukme and Mogok — TNLA Confirms

July 8

The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that junta forces carried out a fresh wave of aerial bombing using jet fighters on Kyaukme and Mogok this morning.

According to TNLA, Kyaukme City was bombed first at around 9:00 a.m., followed by a second bombing on the western side of Mogok City at approximately 9:35 a.m., both carried out by military junta jet fighters operating in northern Shan State.

The TNLA confirmed the incidents and stated that further details would be released.

Additionally, on July 6 at midnight, a previous aerial bombing damaged four buildings. On July 5, the junta launched two air-dropped bombs over Thibaw City, despite the absence of any armed conflict. This resulted in the destruction of:

  • One public hospital surgery building,
  • Five municipal buildings, and
  • Eight residential homes.

In June alone, airstrikes conducted by the junta across the Ta’ang region resulted in:

  • 22 civilian injuries, including 2 children,
  • 5 civilian deaths,
  • Destruction of 65 homes, 3 schools, and 2 monasteries.

🚩🚩 2. Intense Clashes Continue Between Junta Troops and TNLA in Nawnghkio Township

July 8

In Nawnghkio Township, within Military Region 3 of the Ta’ang region, fierce and ongoing clashes are being reported between the junta forces and the TNLA in and around the villages of Kyaukkyan, Aung Chan Thar, Yemaungtan, Naunglin, and Myat Chenu, according to TNLA.

Specifically, on July 6, while fighting was taking place in Kyaukkyan Village, the junta supported its ground troops with:

  • 24 heavy artillery shells and
  • 30 drone-dropped bombs,
    TNLA confirmed.

Similarly, in Naunglin Village, the junta used:

  • 16 drone bombs and
  • 40 artillery shells in support attacks.

Furthermore, without any direct armed confrontation, 32 bombs were dropped from the air on Lonsan Village, and 2 more bombs were dropped on Lonhpar Village.

On July 5, additional clashes occurred in Kyauktaw, Kyaukkyan, Naunglin, and Myat Chenu villages. During those engagements, the junta again supported its forces with:

  • 27 artillery rounds and
  • 1 drone-dropped bomb.

🚩🚩 3. Junta Air Force Bombs an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Hpa-kon Township

July 8

A junta aircraft conducted an aerial bombing on an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp located in Hpa-kon Township, according to confirmation from the Karenni Emergency Relief and Support Network on July 8.

The group stated that “civilians are left to face nothing but poverty, suffering, and death,” and confirmed that there were casualties and injuries as a result of the airstrike.

The report emphasized that the terrorist military junta continues to expand its offensive operations into ethnic areas and is relentlessly bombing civilian-populated zones without provocation.

🚩🚩 4. MSRF Drone Bombs SAC's Artillery Battalion 316 Based Near Kalawkyaysha, Ye Township

July 8

According to official confirmation, the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF) conducted a drone bombing attack on the 316th Artillery Battalion, stationed under the SAC’s Southeast Regional Military Command (SAC-19), based near Kalawkyaysha, Ye Township, along the Ye–Dawei highway.

The attack took place on July 7 at 12:35 PM, using drones to drop explosives on the junta base. The extent of damage inflicted on the junta forces has not yet been confirmed.

The joint operation was carried out successfully without any casualties among the revolutionary allied forces. The MSRF collaborated in this attack with its military ally, Dawn Battalion.

🚩🚩 5. Four Junta Soldiers Who Defected with Weapons Awarded MMK 15 Million

July 8

It has been reported that four junta soldiers who defected with their weapons were awarded a total of MMK 15 million.

According to confirmation from the People’s Defense Team of Monywa Township, the four defectors were awarded on July 3 as follows:

  • MMK 5 million from the Monywa Township People's Administration Team, and
  • MMK 10 million from the No. 2 Combat Team of the People’s Defense Forces (PaKaPha),
    bringing the total reward to MMK 15 million.

🚩🚩 6. Chin Defence Force–Kanpetlet Successfully Completes Weekly Basic Military Training Batch 2

July 8

The Chin Defence Force–Kanpetlet (CDF–Kanpetlet) has successfully completed its second weekly batch of basic military training, which lasted over four months.

A graduation ceremony, including an oath-taking ceremony for the new male and female fighters, was also held.

The CDF–Kanpetlet issued a special call for all youths over the age of 18 from the southern Chin State, including Kyaingdo and Kanpetlet townships, to fulfill their national duties by actively participating in the upcoming third batch of the basic military training.

The successful completion of Batch 2 was made possible through the support of allied organizations, especially the United League of Arakan / Arakan Army (ULA/AA), and the collective contributions of CDF–Kanpetlet supporters both domestic and abroad, to whom the CDF extended its special gratitude.
