๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Close-range clash in Nyaunglebin leaves 4 junta soldiers dead, including one officer

A close-range clash broke out with junta forces in Puzun Myaung Model Village, Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, resulting in the deaths of one officer and one soldier, according to the Fire Dragon Battalion.
At around 10:35 a.m. on August 16, fighting erupted in the Swei Daluai section of Puzun Myaung between junta troops and a combined force of the P-23703 Fire Dragon Battalion and the Vulture Drone Team.
During the clash, a junta officer and a soldier were killed. It was reported that heavy artillery support—multiple rounds—was provided by Kha Ma Ya (20) Battalion in Nyaunglebin town and the Yae Kyi Chaung checkpoint.
Later, at around 2:00 p.m., resistance forces seized the initiative and carried out a second attack in the Oe Bo section of Puzun Myaung, killing two more junta soldiers.
Despite heavy suppression fire from junta artillery, revolutionary fighters successfully disengaged without suffering casualties.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. Attack on Maliwan Police Station and Kha Ma Ya (582) Battalion in Kawthaung Township

The Kawthaung Township People’s Defense Organization (Pa Ka Pha) announced that it carried out an attack on the Maliwan Police Station and the Kha Ma Ya (582) Light Infantry Battalion in Kawthaung Township, Tanintharyi Region.
At around 2:30 a.m. on August 12, coordinated raids were launched against Kha Ma Ya (582), based in Maliwan Village, and the nearby Maliwan Police Station.
The attack damaged multiple buildings and bunkers, leaving one junta officer dead and over ten soldiers and police injured, according to reports.
The Kawthaung Pa Ka Pha urged remaining junta soldiers, police officers, informants, and military collaborators to stand with the people and seek refuge among civilians, while also warning the public to maintain constant operational awareness and security precautions.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. Junta airstrikes near a hospital and preschool in Maw Chi area kill up to 24 people

The junta carried out two aerial attacks in one day on the Maw Chi area of Hpasawng Township, Karenni State, killing up to 24 people including children, with the death toll expected to rise, according to KPV News.
At 7:56 a.m. on August 17, a junta aircraft bombed a public hospital in Lokhalo Village in Maw Chi, injuring two civilians and damaging the hospital.
At 12:10 p.m., a second airstrike targeted a crowded area near a preschool in 16th Ward, killing and injuring numerous civilians.
A local resident told KPV News:
“Since it was Sunday, everyone had gone to the monastery and taken the day off to rest. That spot has a chinlone (cane ball) court and a volleyball court—on Sundays, people usually gather there. They deliberately chose a crowded place.”
By the evening of August 17, 24 bodies had been recovered. With many severely injured and others still missing, the death toll may increase further.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Two civilians killed, five injured in junta drone strike in Kyaukphyu

The junta dropped a drone bomb on Leit Khamaung New Village (near Gaw Tu Village) in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State, killing two civilians and injuring five, according to Arakan Princess Media.
At 1:40 p.m. on August 16, the junta dropped a grenade-sized bomb from a drone near Gaw Tu Old Village.
The explosion killed U Zaw Myint Aye (48) and Daw Ma Kyan Thein (51), both displaced persons from Leit Khamaung Village sheltering near Gaw Tu.
The injured were identified as U Maung Naing Win (48), U Johnson (52), U Maung Aye Phyu (65) from Leit Khamaung New Village, and U Khin Maung Myint (43), Ko Soe Win Naing (24) from Gaw Tu Old Village. They are receiving emergency medical treatment.
At around 3:00 p.m. on the same day (August 16), junta forces from Kha Ma Ya (534) Battalion in Kyaukphyu fired heavy artillery at Gaw Tu Old Village, damaging a house.
Earlier, on August 14, junta naval forces shelled Leit Khamaung Village, killing one resident.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 5. Homes destroyed in Kanpetlet Town, Chin State, due to junta airstrike

According to local reports, at around 6:55 a.m. on August 17, the military junta conducted two aerial bombing attacks with a jet fighter targeting two locations in Kanpetlet Town, Chin State.
Although there were no civilian casualties, several residential houses were destroyed in the attack.
Kanpetlet Town was seized by the Chin Brotherhood Alliance forces in December 2024, and since then, the junta has been carrying out repeated airstrikes in the area.

In Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, areas were cleared to allow displaced civilians to return after junta military columns retreated, according to the Minbu District Battalion 7.
On August 8, about 150 junta troops gathered in Kyit Kaing Village and launched operations into Oatpho, Thanatw, Makee Su, Phalan Kyaing, and Lay Ein Su Villages.
On August 9, the junta forces withdrew from the area, after which clearance operations were carried out along the route of the military columns to ensure that civilians could safely resettle in their villages.

The Justice Soldier Drone Force announced that it is recruiting 200 members and providing training in order to strengthen its technical capacity.
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old with at least an 8th-grade education. Preference will be given to those interested in Computer Programming and IT.
Additionally, applicants must:
- Be in good health to attend military training,
- Be committed to the eradication of military dictatorship and the establishment of a federal democratic system,
- Be determined to serve until the end of the revolution,
- Be able to follow duties and orders with discipline.
