๐๐ 1. CRPH sends message of congratulations for the 77th Anniversary of the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) Armed Forces Day

On the occasion of the 77th Anniversary of Karenni Armed Forces Day, observed on August 17, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) sent a message of congratulations to the leaders and comrades of the Karenni armed forces, as well as to the entire Karenni people, wishing them safety, good health, and peace.
The message recalls that on August 17, 1948, the Karenni national leaders firmly established the Karenni Armed Forces for the cause of their people’s independence. It notes that to this day, the Karenni people continue striving for equality, the right of self-determination, and freedom, while working towards the establishment of a new Federal Democratic Union.
The message also expresses pride that the Karenni Armed Forces are standing together with the Karenni people and fellow revolutionary organizations, collectively resisting and fighting against the brutal military dictatorship.
Furthermore, it affirms confidence that the Karenni Armed Forces, guided by noble intentions for the well-being of the Karenni nation, will continue to successfully carry out public service activities for the benefit of their people.
The CRPH also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Karenni revolutionary leaders and comrades who, across generations and throughout the Spring Revolution, have given their lives, blood, and sweat for the cause of freedom. This tribute was conveyed in the message marking the 77th Anniversary of Karenni Armed Forces Day.

๐๐ 2. YaungNi Tour U.S donates USD 10,000 for “Equal Rights for Hills and Plains” Human Rights Movement in Sagaing Region; NUG Ministry of Defence accepts the contribution

The Ministry of Defence under the National Unity Government (NUG) announced that it has received a contribution of USD 10,000 for the “Equal Rights for Hills and Plains” Human Rights Movement in Sagaing Region. The funds came from the proceeds of a fundraising concert organized by YaungNi Tour U.S.
In acknowledgment of this support, the NUG Ministry of Defence expressed its deep gratitude and formally honored the contribution, with Defence Minister U Yee Mon signing a letter of recognition.
The Ministry further noted that by participating in the officially established People’s Revolution Support Family (PRF) program, citizens can also serve as rearline supporters for the People’s Defence Force (PDF) comrades.

๐๐ 3. Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee holds meeting with Tanintharyi Region Public Administration Teams

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy’s Deputy Minister, who also serves as a secretary member of the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee under the National Unity Government, delivered opening remarks at the (8/2025) coordination meeting held on August 17 at 10:00 a.m. between the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee and the Tanintharyi Region Public Administration Teams.
During the meeting, members of the local public administration teams raised questions regarding coordination of administrative operations, to which relevant ministry officials provided responses.
The meeting was attended by permanent deputy ministers, deputy ministers, associate deputy ministers, departmental officials, as well as township-level public administration team members from Tanintharyi Region. The session concluded at 11:30 a.m.

๐๐ 4. Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament and Sagaing Federal Unit CDM Civil Servants’ Council (CCSC-SFU) hold joint discussions

The Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament and the Sagaing Federal Unit CDM Civil Servants’ Council (CCSC-SFU) held a virtual meeting via video conference on August 17 at 2:00 p.m.
At the meeting, the chairpersons of both the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament and the Sagaing Federal Unit CDM Civil Servants’ Council delivered opening remarks. Afterwards, a responsible person from the Parliament explained matters concerning the interim constitutional framework and its ongoing processes.
Subsequently, representatives from the CDM Civil Servants’ Council also engaged in open and constructive exchanges regarding cooperative implementation of future processes under the interim federal constitution. The meeting concluded successfully at 4:10 p.m.
Participants included the chairperson and representatives of the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament, as well as the chairperson and executive committee members of the Sagaing Federal Unit CDM Civil Servants’ Council (CCSC-SFU).
