The Acting President Duwa Lashi La said to use people politics to get the soldiers and military families serving under the military council the right perspectives.
“I want to urge to continue expanding the people politics with a broad vision. In addition, the people should always be motivated to be politically aware so that they don’t get confused by the military council’s political deceptions. We need to use people political methods to give the soldiers and army family members who are serving under the military council the right perspective. Only if we expand the people political process as widely as possible, the people political role will expand and the objectives of the Spring Revolution will always be achieved” the Acting President said.
From September 2021 until today, there have been about 14,000 junta soldiers who have taken refuge in the People’s Embrace, including those from the rank of colonel to the lower ranks.

📌📌 2. The Complaints Committee investigates complaints related to battalions, units, departments, committees, organizations, and individuals under the Ministry of Defence
The Complaints Committee of the Ministry of Defence announced on August 4 that complaints related to battalions, units, departments, committees, organizations, and individuals under the Ministry of Defence are being investigated.
“The Complaints Committee receives and verifies the complaints, conducts preliminary investigations of the complaints, arranges for timely coordination and resolution of the complaints, reports to the Ministry of Defence in order to issue prohibition orders, liaises with the relevant ministries, committees, and commissions regarding the complaints, and systematically transfers the cases to the relevant departments, committees, commissions, groups, and judicial departments with jurisdiction for further hearings,” it stated.
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defence established the “Complaints Committee” with Order No. (33/2023) on May 1, 2023.

It is reported that political prisoners were beaten and some of them fell unconscious due to serious injuries in solitary confinement in Thayarwaddy prison.
The incident was reported by some political prisoners who were released from Thayarwaddy prison on parole.
In Thayarwaddy Prison, Ko Than Toe Aung, Ko Yan Naing Soe, U Hla Soe, Sote Phwar Kyi, Tamwe Ko Zwe (b) Ko Khin Maung Kyaw, and OB from Letpadan, a CDM captain and 16 other political male prisoners were beaten in shackles in front of the prison’s religious hall in the field and then put in solitary confinement.
As Ko Than Toe Aung and his 4 companions fell unconscious as soon as they were put in solitary confinement after being beaten, they were sent to the prison hospital.
Ko Than Toe Aung is reportedly being kept in the prison hospital in an emergency situation without medical treatment, and an imprisoned doctor said that Ko Than Toe Aung had a blood clot in his head.

On August 4, the Pale Township People’s Administration confirmed that the junta troops invaded the villages in Pale Township, Sagaing Division, forcing around 7,000 people from the villages to flee, leaving their homes.
“The terrorist junta column that invaded Pale Township burned Tanei Village and stayed the night in Min Tain Bin Village. On August 4, at around 7:00 a.m., the Pyu Saw Htee members from Zeephyukone Pyu Saw Htee Camp, relying on the arriving junta column, forcibly stole public property from Min Tain Bin Village and Nget Pyaw Taw Village with carts. Then, along with the column, they entered the Pyu Saw Htee Camp in Zeephyukone at around 11:00 a.m.,” it stated.
About 7,000 people from the villages of Min Tain Bin, Nget Pyaw Taw, Aingma, Chaung-U, Hnaw Kan, Htan Taw Taik, Oe Bo, and Sin Shin were forced to leave their homes and flee because of the junta column.
It is reported that the ward/village people’s administrations, people’s defense forces and civil organizations in the respective villages have worked together to arrange accommodations and provide food to the displaced people who had to flee their homes.

📌📌 5. 28 people were killed due to junta shootings across the country, with the Sagaing Region consisting of the highest number of fatalities, with 16 victims
According to data collected by AAPP, “From July 1 to 31 2023, (28) people were killed due to junta shootings across the country, with the Sagaing Region consisting of the highest number of fatalities, with (16) victims.
On the morning of July 28, junta forces entered No.2 Ward, Khampat Town in Tamu District, Sagaing Region, and engaged in clashes with local defense forces. Two brothers from the ward attempted to flee on a motorbike. The junta forces shot at them, killing the driver identified as Lalremruata.”
Since the February 1, 2021 coup and the emergence of the Spring Revolution, a total of (3,888) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been killed through military crackdowns against the pro-democracy movement.

📌📌 6. 3 junta soldiers were killed and 10 injured when the defense forces attacked the Kyauk Yit Police Station in Myaung Township, Sagaing District
On August 3, between 5:20 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the Defense Forces attacked the Kyauk Yit Police Station in Myaung Township, Sagaing District, where the terrorist military council soldiers were stationed, killing three and wounding 10 others.
“On August 3, from 5:20 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Kyauk Yit Police Station, where terrorist military council soldiers were stationed in Myaung Township, Sagaing Region, was attacked by Sagaing District Battalion – 4 (MSPDF), Myingyan District Battalion – 1, and Myingyan District Battalion – 3, together with the alliance forces, with heavy weapons and small arms,” it stated.
On the side of the terrorist military council, 3 were killed on the spot, 10 were injured and 4 were seriously injured.
In the guerilla operation, the alliance forces of Sagaing District Battalion – 4 (MSPDF), Myingyan District Battalion – 1, Myingyan District Battalion – 3, Sagaing District Battalion – 5 and other allied forces participated.

On August 4, the Yesagyo PaKaFa confirmed that the terrorist military council troops and Pyu Saw Htees from Sin Chaung (Pyu) Village, Yesagyo Township, who were extorting money from innocent civilians, travelers and commercial vehicles passing by on the Pakokku Highway, were attacked from aerial vehicles.
“We Salingyi Special Task Force – SSTF {Shar Htoo Waw Technical Team (4)}, Shar Htoo Waw Technical Team (3) PDAF, Myaung Special Drone Force – MSDF along with local defense forces; Yesagyo Township People’s Defense Force, YSO PaKaFa, and Myaing PaKaFa Battalion 2, carried out a bombing attack with the air hero, unmanned aerial vehicles, upon the terrorist military council troops and Pyu Saw Htees from Sin Chaung (Pyu) Village, Yesagyo Township, who were extorting money from innocent civilians, travelers and commercial vehicles passing by on the Pakokku Highway at around 1:00 p.m.,” it stated.
It is reported that at around 5:00 p.m., the police station where terrorist military council troops were stationed in Myaing, was bombed with 5 bombs by unmanned aerial vehicles from the air. The attack was conducted by our 3 alliance forces along with the above drone forces.

On the afternoon of August 4 in Launglon Township, Dawei District, the Dawei Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC) led a mass protest against the military dictatorship, holding the banner “Cut Fascist Income, Build Public Finances”.
Since the military coup, the military council has been arresting, torturing, and killing civilians for various reasons, as well as looting and destroying people’s property.
