The Acting President of the National Unity Government, H.E. Duwa Lashi La expresses his appreciation to all the people who participated in the Silent Strike on 1st February, the NUG Defense Minister and the KIA Commander-in-Chief visit the occupied camps and townships, the Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government and Arizona State University-ASU in the United States sign a memorandum of understanding–MoU.

1. The Acting President of the National Unity Government, H.E. Duwa Lashi La expressed his appreciation to all the people who took part in the Silent Strike on 1st February, 2024. In the third year since the terrorist military junta's coup on February 1st, the Acting President emphasized his sincere respect and gratitude to everyone who took part in the "Silent Strike," "White Campaign," and the revolution. The silent strike and the white actions movements are serious and iconic symbols of the people's revolution, and the international community documented the public's anti-coup attitude as an important occurrence. The anti-military dictatorship has been in place for three years, and it is apparent that they are still going forward with full revolutionary power.  The Acting President reiterated that the National Unity Government admires the persistence of the people who possess such a revolutionary spirit.

2. The Union Minister for the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government, U Ye Mon and Chief-Of-Staff of the Kachin Independence Army-KIA (Chief Commander- No.1 Military Region) Lt. Gen. R Hkawng Lum inspected the military outposts occupied by the revolutionary forces in Man Wain Gyi area, Mansi Township of Kachin State, on 21st January. During the inspections, they met with surrendering soldiers and prisoners of war and examined military equipment in addition to townships and outposts. According to the Ministry of Defense statement, the confiscated military equipment would be used to equip the People's Defense Forces. On January 21st, the Kachin Independence Army-KIA and the KPDF attacked and occupied the Man Wain Gyi terrorist military junta’s forces camp in Mansi Township, Kachin State, and nearly 200 members of the military forces surrendered.

3. The Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government and Arizona State University-ASU in the United States signed an online memorandum of understanding –MoU, on 30th January. The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Minu Ipe (Director and Vice Chair of University Design Institute, ASU) from ASU, Juliane Schober (Director of Asia Center, ASU) and ASU officials, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Education Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Deputy Minister Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun, teachers and officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Sector. First, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Education and Deputy Ministers delivered opening remarks, followed by the executive directors of Arizona State University, who signed a memorandum of understanding-MOU. ASU and the Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government signed a memorandum of understanding in order to collaborate in academic areas such as cooperative lesson development and holding workshops, scholar exchanges and an academic exchange program including teachers, researchers and students. The Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government and Arizona State University has officially collaborated since January 2023, to offer online scholarships for Universal Learner Courses to 27 students as well as Digital Infrastructure and Services workshops and University Governance workshops.

4. The National Unity Government reported to the Union Parliament held on February 1st, 2024, that more than 3.4 billion kyats were spent in the health sector in 2023. In order to verify and support the health care practices of the partner organizations of the various revolutionary forces, as well as to systematically verify and support the needs of health workers, the NUG government has spent funds donated to it by the entire population through the federal health plan and taxes collected in areas under control. The Ministry of Health of the NUG has been providing health care services in 190 townships through 29 regional health officers and 227 township officials. It also provides medical services at 74 hospitals, 402 clinics, and more than 250 mobile clinics, employing a total of 4,231 health CDM volunteers. In order to access health care treatment, it is also provided free health care through free online clinics.  In 2023, it was estimated that Myanmar citizens from 37 nations, domestically as well as abroad, used online clinic services 51,260 times.

5. The 3-year anniversary of the Myanmar Spring Revolution rally was held at Parliament Square in London on February 1st. About 500 Myanmar ethnic communities in UK and members of the UK House of Commons participated in the protest in front of the Prime Minister's office and Myanmar Embassy in the UK. Members of the UK House of Commons, Mr. Jeremy Corbyn and Mr. Paul Scully, CEO of THET organization, Mr. Ben Simms, Laura and Mr. Kim Aris from Global Women's Strike, U Maung Maung Aung and Dr. Thet Ko Ko from NUG representatives, a Kachin ethnic representative, a representative of the Karenni Karen ethnic group, and a representative from each Chin, Mon, and Myanmar Muslim group attended and spoke at the rally. They stated that they will stand firm and continue to strive for the restoration of democracy and peace as soon as possible and to put an end to the country's military dictatorship.
