๐ฉ๐ฉ 1. Religious Buildings Damaged in Min Kun Due to Airstrikes by the Military Junta
March 20
Reports from local sources indicate that religious structures in the ancient cultural heritage area of Min Kun, Sagaing Region, were damaged due to an airstrike conducted by the military junta.
The terrorist junta launched an aerial attack around 11:00 PM on March 19, targeting the area between the Mingun Pahtodawgyi and Myatheintan Pagoda. Fighter jets dropped bombs and also fired machine guns, causing damage to nearby monasteries and nunneries, according to residents.
Although clashes have occurred in the Min Kun area in recent days, there was no battle yesterday. Instead, the junta forces carried out an assault without provocation. The targeted location was the western side of the Mingun Pahtodawgyi, specifically on Ma Na Ma Ya Hill, which was previously a junta military base.
Currently, about 50 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia members are stationed in Min Kun. They have set up positions near the Min Kun Police Station and Myatheintan Pagoda, creating a sense of insecurity among local residents, who remain cautious and on high alert.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. AA Denounces Junta’s Allegations on Drug Seizure as a Political Smear Campaign
March 20
The Arakan Army (AA) has dismissed the junta’s statement regarding the seizure of narcotics worth over 96 billion kyats in Yangon as a politically motivated attack intended to tarnish its reputation.
The terrorist junta released news reports and broadcasts on March 18 and 19, claiming that the seized drugs, including over three tons of methamphetamine (commonly known as "Ice") and 200 kilograms of ketamine, were linked to AA. The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC-Myanmar), operating under the junta, made these allegations, which AA has now refuted.
AA stated that the junta, facing military defeats, deliberately implicated its name to shift attention away from its failures. It emphasized that there is absolutely no connection between AA and the seized drugs. The allegations, AA claimed, are not only baseless but also serve as a political attack aimed at damaging its reputation.
The statement further criticized the junta, describing it as a fascist terrorist group that is losing credibility among neighboring countries and the international community due to its continuous military setbacks. AA pointed out that drug trafficking, organized crime, and illegal online gambling operations are predominantly controlled by junta-affiliated officials, including high-ranking generals, in Naypyidaw, Yangon, and Mandalay.
According to AA, drug-related corruption within the junta is undeniable, with clear evidence linking top military officials to illicit activities. The group also noted that the international community is well aware that drug trade and fraudulent schemes are flourishing in junta-controlled areas, particularly in Naypyidaw and Yangon. It suggested that the junta, unable to counter revolutionary forces militarily, has resorted to spreading propaganda to falsely portray resistance groups as drug traffickers.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Junta Convoy Attacked on Monywa-Mandalay Road; 3 Soldiers Killed, 10 Injured
March 20
A junta military convoy advancing on foot along the Monywa-Mandalay Road in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region, was attacked by revolutionary forces, resulting in three junta soldiers killed and ten others injured, according to the Lightning Guerrilla Unit (Monywa District Battalion 12, Unit 3).
The attack occurred on March 16 as a column of 60 soldiers from the junta’s Nat Yay Kan military base and another 40 soldiers from Chaung-U Township advanced along the Monywa-Mandalay route.
When the convoy reached a location about two miles east of Chaung-U, revolutionary fighters detonated landmines, causing heavy casualties among junta troops. As the soldiers attempted to regroup, the resistance forces launched a drone attack, further weakening the column.
During the drone assault, junta soldiers sought refuge in a nearby building. However, revolutionary fighters launched an RPG strike and four 40mm grenades into the building, causing additional casualties.
The battle lasted over an hour, forcing junta troops to retreat. On their way back, they blocked civilian vehicles along the Monywa-Mandalay Road and returned to Nat Yay Kan Military Base and Chaung-U Township.
The Lightning Guerrilla Unit (Monywa District Battalion 12, Unit 3), Pa Ka Pha Drone Strike Unit (Monywa District), Nga Moe Yeik Guerrilla Column (Monywa District Pa Ka Pha Rocket Unit), Nway Oo Brothers Column, and Anyarthium (Anyar Region Resistance Force) participated in the attack.
This battle report was contributed by Radio NUG correspondent Ko Khant.
