๐๐ 1. Myanmar Union Minister Presents Report on the Status of Myanmar Women at the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69)

At the ongoing 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Union Minister for Women, Youth, and Children’s Affairs, Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe, attended and presented a report on the status of Myanmar women, according to an official statement.
The statement also mentioned that Union Minister Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe is currently on an official visit to the United States.

๐๐ 2. Military Junta’s Attacks on the Healthcare Sector Exceed 1,600 Incidents, with 365 Medical Facilities Damaged or Destroyed

Over the past four years, the military junta has carried out more than 1,600 attacks on the healthcare sector, resulting in damage or destruction to a total of 365 hospitals and clinics, according to a March 19 statement from the Ministry of Health under the National Unity Government (NUG).
On March 10, the military junta launched a drone strike on Township Public Hospital in Sanae Town, Kyaukpyu Township, Rakhine State, as well as on Kat Hpyar Village, resulting in the death of one civilian. The attack also caused fires that destroyed approximately 20 houses, including hospital buildings.
On March 8, a medic from the Free Burma Rangers (FBR) was killed in a junta airstrike while providing medical care to injured civilians in Thaw Thoot Township, Karen State. Two other medics sustained severe injuries in the attack. Among them, Naw Say Mu Pho, a 25-year-old medic, later succumbed to burn injuries on March 10.
During the past four years, the military junta has committed over 1,600 attacks on the healthcare sector, leading to the destruction of 365 medical facilities and the killing of 137 healthcare workers, the statement highlighted.
The military junta, entrenched in a brutal dictatorship for the past four years, has deliberately targeted healthcare workers, hospitals, and clinics. These attacks blatantly violate the Geneva Conventions, UN Security Council resolutions, international humanitarian law, and human rights laws, according to the NUG Ministry of Health.

๐๐ 3. Meeting Between the Interim Regional Public Administration Central Committee and Magway Region Public Administration Bodies

The National Unity Government’s Interim Regional Public Administration Central Committee convened a meeting (6/2025) with the Public Administration Bodies of Magway Region on March 19 at 1:00 PM.
During the meeting, an opening speech was delivered by a member of the Central Committee’s Secretariat and an official from the Ministry of Health, who also serves as a Deputy Minister.
Following that, members of the Public Administration Bodies engaged in discussions regarding administrative matters they sought clarification on, and respective officials from various ministries provided responses.
The meeting was attended by Permanent Deputy Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Associate Deputy Ministers, department officials, and representatives from township-level public administration bodies in Magway Region.

๐๐ 4. Call for Justice in the Death of U Aung Myint and the Immediate Release of Myanmar Refugees Detained in India

A demand has been made for justice in the case of Myanmar national U Aung Myint, who died while in detention, and for the immediate release of Myanmar war refugees currently imprisoned in Manipur and Assam.
On March 20, India For Myanmar, together with civil society organizations, submitted an open letter to the central government of India. The petition was signed by 196 civil society organizations along the Myanmar-India border and various revolutionary groups.
At present, a total of 147 Myanmar refugees, including 52 children, are being detained in Manipur and Assam.

๐๐ 5. Female Officers Assigned to Security Checkpoints by Ayeyarwady Battalion 3

It has been reported that female police officers have been assigned to oversee security checkpoints under the jurisdiction of Ayeyarwady Battalion 3.
A statement noted, “In our controlled areas, security inspections are conducted according to regional requirements, and female officers have also been assigned to these tasks. Their role is being emphasized and given due importance.”
On March 13, personnel from Ayeyarwady Battalion 3 conducted security checks along major routes. The battalion is said to maintain a permanent presence near urban areas.

๐๐ 6. Yangon Region People’s Defense Force - 1 to Recruit New Members

Yangon Region People’s Defense Force - 1 has announced a recruitment drive for new members.
The statement, released on March 20, calls for young individuals with a strong conviction to eradicate military dictatorship to join the ranks as new recruits.
Those wishing to participate in the revolutionary struggle must carefully read and fully understand the recruitment guidelines set forth by the Yangon Region People’s Defense Force - 1. Upon acceptance, they will be required to make a pledge of commitment.
Recruits will undergo basic military training and be trained as people’s soldiers. Given the hardships and discipline associated with military life, recruits must strictly adhere to ethical codes and training regulations. Any violations of the commitments or codes of conduct during or after training will be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the force’s regulations.
