๐ฉ๐ฉ 2. More Than Nine Junta Troops, Including a Column Commander, Killed During Two-Day Resistance Attack in Salin Township
April 26
In Salin Township, Magway Region, resistance forces launched a two-day series of attacks against a military column of over 200 junta troops, which included two armored vehicles. As a result, at least nine junta soldiers, including a column commander, were killed, and over ten others were injured, according to an announcement today, April 26, by the Burma Army.
The assault took place as junta troops under Infantry Battalion No. 808 and allied units advanced from Wanbyay Village toward Auk Hlaing Village, attempting to penetrate resistance-controlled territory. The attacks were carried out on April 24 and 25 to block and repel the advancing forces.
On April 24, the junta troops had advanced using armored vehicles and heavy gunfire. A two-hour intense clash ensued with the revolutionary allied forces.
According to reports, revolutionary forces utilized 40-mm grenade launchers and heavy weaponry during the confrontation, inflicting heavy casualties on the junta side, including the death of at least nine personnel—one being a column commander—and injuries to over ten others.
During the clashes, one of the junta's armored vehicles fell into an irrigation canal near Wanbyay Village. While junta troops were attempting to retrieve it with recovery trucks, resistance forces launched a renewed attack using heavy weaponry, further inflicting losses. By the morning of April 25, the junta’s column had retreated.
One revolutionary fighter was injured by shrapnel from a 40-mm grenade during the junta’s retaliatory fire; however, it was confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening.
The coordinated attack against the junta’s armored military column involved multiple revolutionary units, including:
- Burma Army (Resistance) Battalion No. 808,
- Minbu District Battalion No. 1,
- Minbu District Battalion No. 5,
- Southern Pauk District Medical and Paramedic Unit,
- People's Defense Force – Salin,
- Daung Sit Aung LPDF,
- Daung Nyi Naing Urban Guerrilla Force, and
- Minbu District Special Operations Unit.
The Burma Army (Resistance) urged civilians to strictly follow guidance from the People's Defense Forces to dig bomb shelters and stay alert, as the junta is increasingly sending in large, divided military columns into resistance-held territories in Salin Township, raising the risks of aerial strikes and heavy artillery attacks.

April 26
In Sinbaungwe Township, Magway Region, the No.13 Defense Equipment Factory (commonly known as Ka Pa Sa 13), operated by the military junta, was successfully attacked with ten 107mm short-range rockets, according to Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM).
The attack occurred around midnight on April 25, and initial reports indicate that all ten rockets hit critical targets, causing significant damage. While preliminary assessments confirm considerable destruction, further verification is still underway.
Ka Pa Sa 13 is known to manufacture a range of munitions, from small-caliber bullets to large aircraft bombs. It also primarily produces detonators and primers, essential components for various types of ammunition used by the junta in offensives against civilians.
Resistance forces noted that the destruction of Ka Pa Sa 13 would likely disrupt production lines dependent on it, including Ka Pa Sa units 3, 5, 7, 12, 17, 21, and 25.
BWM stated that the coordinated attack on Ka Pa Sa 13 was part of broader efforts by allied forces to dismantle key junta strongholds and ensure the success of the Spring Revolution.
