๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. PSLF/TNLA Holds Follow-up Meeting with Police Force and Residents of Man Kyel Township

According to an official announcement, the District Police Force under Brigade 5 of the PSLF/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army) held a follow-up community engagement meeting with residents from nine villages in Man Kyel Township, located in its controlled territory within Kutkai District.

Residents from the villages of Mann Naung, Nam Sam Hoo, Kaung Mu Laing, Lwel Sar, Ho Phone, Pan Sat, Kyaw Myan, Saing Khaung, and Pan Woo reportedly attended the discussion.

During the meeting, an officer from the Kutkai District Police Force provided a detailed briefing on the laws, rules, and regulations of the Ta'ang National Police Force, as well as the law enforcement procedures it follows. Both sides engaged in open discussions on issues such as robbery, murder, theft, sexual violence, intimidation, fraud, and the use and trafficking of narcotic drugs.

The meeting was attended by 170 individuals, including officers from the district and township police forces, local administrators, community leaders, and local residents.

Previously, on April 23, the Kutkai District Police Force had also conducted similar community discussions with residents from the villages of Mone Hwan, Kaung Pike, Lone Kam, Lwel Kyaw, Man Lar, Man Lone, Kyu Mine, Man Kaung, Man Wine, and Mone Yar.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. One People's Police Officer Killed and Two Civilians Executed During Junta Ambush on Clearance Operation

The Kanbauk Defense Force (KDF) reported that a team from Dorna Column 3, which was carrying out a territorial clearance operation near Sein Bone Village in the Nat Kyi Sin Village Tract of Yebyu Township, Dawei District, came under ambush attack by junta forces, resulting in the death of one People's Police officer.

The ambush reportedly occurred around 10:30 AM on May 1, when joint forces of the military junta and Pyu Saw Htee militia launched a surprise assault on Dorna Column 3 during their clearance operation.

As a result of the attack, one officer of the People's Police was killed. The group also lost one Type 16KR rifle, one pistol, and two magazines.

Additionally, junta forces reportedly detained and executed two civilians, and intimidated other travelers and civilians in the vicinity by conducting arbitrary detentions and interrogations.

In response, the Kanbauk Defense Force retaliated against the assault, resulting in the deaths of two junta soldiers. Due to the intensified military presence and tension near Sein Bone Village, local residents have been warned to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel in the area.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Administrator of Htoo Kone Village Tract in Western Oakpho Township Assassinated

The Oakpho unit of the Underground Guerrilla Force has announced that Hla Aung, the administrator of Htoo Kone Village Tract in western Oakpho Township, Thayarwaddy District, Bago Region, was assassinated.

The operation took place at 6:45 AM on May 6 along the road connecting Htoo Chaung Village and Oakpho town. The administrator, who was riding a motorcycle, was shot at close range, with a direct shot to the head.

Hla Aung was killed instantly at the scene. A mobile phone and 10,000 kyats in cash were confiscated from him following the operation.

According to the Underground Guerrilla Force, Hla Aung had been extorting money from villagers under the pretext of collecting military service fees, threatening and forcibly arresting young people who could not pay, and openly challenging revolutionary forces by stating, “If you're brave, come and fight—I’ll trade my life for yours.” He was also accused of persistently threatening civilians with various demands for money. The group stated that this action was taken in response to those abuses.

The assassination was reportedly carried out by officers of the Underground Guerrilla Force - Oakpho, operating under Battalion (3802), Sub-unit (4) of Thayarwaddy District.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Monk Passes Away After Being Arrested and Tortured by the Military Junta in Saw Township

A monk has passed away after being arrested and tortured by junta forces in Kyaukhtu Subtownship, Saw Township, Magway Region, according to a report by YAW Media.

On the morning of May 3, a monk from Ta Pyin Village and his lay attendant (kappiya), who had gone to Kyaukhtu for shopping, were arrested by junta soldiers. They were subjected to torture and were released later in the afternoon.

When they were released, the monk was found to have sustained deep blade wounds across his back and suffered fractures to one leg and one arm. Due to the severity of the torture-induced injuries, the monk passed away in the morning of May 4.

The accompanying lay attendant also sustained two stab wounds on his thigh and multiple burn injuries on his chest. He is currently receiving medical treatment, according to reports.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Junta Conducts Aerial Bombardments on Two Villages Near the Border of Myaing and Pakokku Townships

According to the group We Love Myaing, the villages of Zaunggyan Kone and Ywa Thit, located near the border of Myaing and Pakokku Townships in Magway Region, came under aerial bombardment by the terrorist military on the night of May 5 around 8:00 PM.

While the airstrikes resulted in significant damage to infrastructure and buildings, there are no confirmed reports yet on whether there were any casualties at the time of reporting.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Junta Drops Chemical Bombs Using Aircraft in Mobye Battle

In Mobye, a town in Kayah (Karenni) State, the junta military has been using aircraft and drones to launch attacks involving chemical bombs, according to a statement from the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF – Pekhon Zone).

Fierce clashes continue to take place in Mobye, and the junta has been conducting intense offensives for several consecutive days using heavy artillery and air power. The regime has also begun employing chemical gas bombs in its assaults.

Furthermore, the junta has reportedly discharged chemical substances into the Belu Creek in Mobye, according to KNDF – Pekhon Zone.

As such, KNDF – Pekhon Zone has issued an urgent advisory urging civilians to remain highly cautious and prioritize safety in all movements.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Tribute to Female PreCDM Informants and Women Supporting PreCDM Movement Inside Military and Government Institutions

According to a public announcement released on May 6 by People’s Embrace, female informants (PreCDMs) working within the military and government departments, under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG), include numerous women civil servants from various departments and agencies. Moreover, women who are family members of military and departmental personnel are also actively involved in the movement, fulfilling their respective roles.

It was acknowledged that these women, both PreCDM civil servants and family members of military personnel, are carrying out crucial duties by transmitting significant military and political intelligence to aid the revolution—despite continuing to live within the junta’s institutional and social structures.

The announcement further stated that these women, who shoulder revolutionary responsibilities equally alongside their male counterparts, will be protected under Section 2, Subsection (Ga) of Announcement No. 9/2022 issued by the Ministry of Defense of the NUG, both during and after the revolution. Their courage and sense of duty are recognized with deep respect and honor.
