📌📌 1. Resistance Forces Eliminate Junta Informant in Gyobingauk Township

In Gyobingauk Township, Thayarwaddy District, Bago Region, resistance forces eliminated a junta informant in Hman Pin Htoo village, according to a statement by Thayarwaddy District Battalion 3802, Unit 6.

The individual identified as Ko Moe, a junta informant from Hman Pin Htoo village, was shot and killed on June 20 at around 4:30 p.m. by Black Dragon GBK – PDF, a unit of Battalion 3802, Unit 6.

According to the statement, Ko Moe had been taking photos of the movements of resistance fighters and passing them to the military council, while also accusing local youths of being PDFs and making false reports to the junta.

Furthermore, it is said that he collaborated with the military and had a role in intimidating and oppressing local civilians.

The statement emphasized that resistance forces will continue to intensify attacks on junta troops and collaborators, including informants who cause suffering to both civilians and resistance fighters. The public is advised to avoid areas where such operations are likely to take place.

📌📌 2. Two Junta Soldiers Killed in Landmine Attack on Troops from Chaung-U Township General Administration Office

Two junta soldiers were killed in a landmine attack targeting a military unit departing from the Chaung-U Township General Administration Office in Sagaing Region, according to the Upper Mine Team of the BLDF Division.

On June 21 at around 5:45 p.m., a column of about 30 junta troops from the township’s General Administration Office was ambushed near Sutaungpyay Monastery in Chaung-U by the Upper Mine Team of the BLDF.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that two junta soldiers were killed on the spot, and it is believed that there may have been additional injuries.

Although junta troops returned fire, no resistance fighters were harmed during the engagement.

A few days earlier, on June 16, the BRAVE HEART ARMY (BHA) also attacked a military group that had left the Chaung-U General Administration Office in a private vehicle, along the Monywa–Mandalay road. That ambush resulted in the death of three junta officers, including a three-star officer, with one soldier wounded and another fleeing. The resistance also captured five firearms and three mobile phones during the operation.

📌📌 3. Two Soldiers from Battalion 557 Defect to Tanintharyi People's Defense Forces

June 22

Two soldiers from Light Infantry Battalion 557, stationed near Auk Kin village, close to Tanintharyi Town, Myeik District, Tanintharyi Region, have defected to the People’s Defense Force (PDF), according to the local PDF in Tanintharyi Township.

The two soldiers, originally trainees from Intake 1 and Intake 9 of the No. 1 Military Training School in Kyophyu, Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region, defected on June 19, bringing their weapons and ammunition with them.

The soldier from Intake 1 brought:

  • One MA-3 rifle
  • Five magazines
  • 120 rounds of ammunition
  • One set of combat gear.

The Intake 9 soldier brought:

  • One MA-3 rifle
  • Four magazines
  • 120 rounds of ammunition.

These two defectors had received two months of basic military training in Kyophyu, followed by two weeks of additional training at Division 13 in Bokpyin Township, Tanintharyi. They were later assigned to Military Unit 103 in Myeik, and two days later to LIB 557 stationed at Auk Kin village, where they eventually defected.

They escaped while on road clearance duty between Banlamut and Panat Nge villages and surrendered to the Tanintharyi Township People’s Defense Force.

The defectors stated that they had been forcibly conscripted into the junta’s military and now intend to fight back against the regime.

Resistance forces have encouraged other soldiers and police officers who wish to join the people’s side, particularly those forcibly recruited under the junta’s conscription orders, to reach out to nearby People’s Defense Forces or allied revolutionary forces and defect.
