The CDM Civil Servants Conference Organizing Committee sent a congratulatory message to the Kachin State CDM Civil Servants Council (KSCCSC) on the occasion of its Executive Appointment Ceremony, expressing joy and pride in the successful formation of KSCCSC with the participation of CDM members from diverse sectors across Kachin State.

The message stated that the committee would continue to work together with KSCCSC to protect the rights of CDM members and to provide support for them.

It highlighted that the collective and determined non-violent resistance of hundreds of thousands of civil servants against the military junta constituted a pivotal movement in the Spring Revolution—an action that effectively struck at the junta’s core and was even nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize at the international level.

The message further noted that, as the momentum of the revolution grows, CDM civil servants are continuing to serve the public from wherever they are while actively participating in the revolution. This period is also a time for regrouping and rebuilding by sector and by region.

Therefore, the establishment of the Kachin State CDM Civil Servants Council and the appointment of its executive team, enabling the expansion of its activities, not only provides a positive opportunity for the regional organization of CDM members and a strong basis for mutual support and cooperation among them, but also represents a significant step for national reconstruction and political transformation.
