๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. SAC Offensive on Naypyitaw PDF-Controlled Territory — Two Resistance Fighters Injured, Some Camps Relinquished

The Ministry of Defense of the NUG, Naypyitaw Military Region, reported that the military junta launched an offensive into territory controlled by the Naypyitaw PDF Battalion 804, resulting in direct clashes.

According to Battalion 804, since July 18, over 600 SAC troops have been advancing into restricted zones. Resistance forces engaged them using landmines and command-detonated mines, leading to several close-range battles.

During the fighting, approximately 70 junta troops were reportedly killed. On the resistance side, two fighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

It was also announced that Battalion 804 had to relinquish control of some of its camps.

The clashes were jointly carried out by Naypyitaw Military Region’s Battalion 804, Battalion 902, Tharyar District Battalion 1, and Aunglan Township People’s Defense Force.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. SAC Troops Retreat from Nam Mone Ta Village in Tamu Township After Airstrike Support

In Tamu Township, Sagaing Region, SAC forces have repeatedly attempted to recapture Nam Mone Ta Village, which is under PDF control. On August 8, during renewed clashes, junta forces conducted three airstrikes using fighter jets, according to People’s Spring.

The air raids took place at 11:35 a.m., 12:35 p.m., and 5:50 p.m. on August 8. No casualties were reported among PDF fighters.

Since August 5, SAC troops—working in coordination with the Pyu Saw Htee militia and pro-junta Kathae Thupone armed groups—have launched attacks on Nam Mone Ta with over 100 personnel. Although clashes ensued, junta troops were forced to retreat. The fighting on August 8 was reported to be more intense than on previous days.

During the four-day battle, the resistance sustained minor casualties, while junta forces suffered multiple fatalities and lost some weapons and ammunition to the resistance.

Nam Mone Ta Village is located 12 miles from Tamu town on the Kalay–Tamu Asian Highway. The junta launched its offensive from Pan Thar Village near Tamu. As of now, Nam Mone Ta is under full control of the PDF forces.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. SAC Airstrike on Pinwe Kone Village in Kyaikto Township — One Elderly Civilian Killed

At approximately 9:23 a.m. on August 9, the military junta conducted an airstrike on Pinwe Kone Village in Kyaikto Township without any preceding clashes, according to local reports.

The bombing killed one elderly man, injured three other civilians, and destroyed three houses.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. SAC Conducts Another Airstrike in Hsipaw — One Civilian Man Injured

The PSLF/TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army) has reported that the military junta conducted an airstrike in Hsipaw, northern Shan State, within the territory under the control of TNLA Brigade 2, injuring one man.

At 4:11 p.m. on August 9, the junta dropped three 250-pound bombs on Pantain Taung Ward in Hsipaw town.

The bombing injured one man and damaged seven houses.

Between July 5 and August 8, the junta had already carried out six previous airstrikes on Hsipaw Township, killing two men, injuring one woman and four men, and damaging 18 houses and one school.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. SAC Seizes Vehicle Carrying IDPs in Eastern Demoso Township

In eastern Demoso Township, Kayah State, junta forces seized a vehicle transporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), according to local sources.

On August 8, about 15 IDPs from Daw Du Village in the Ngwe Taung Village Tract, Demoso Township, were reportedly among those detained when the vehicle was seized.

In addition, the body of a civilian killed by junta gunfire in eastern Demoso was reportedly discovered.

It is learned that SAC Infantry Battalion 102, stationed in the Ngwe Taung Village Tract of Demoso Township, has been conducting military operations since August 7, and Daw Du Village is located near that battalion’s base.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. CDF–Asho Trainee Dies from Illness During Military Training

The Chinland Defense Force – Asho (CDF–Asho) has announced that a trainee attending its basic military training course died after falling ill.

The trainee, Salai Ye Min Naing, became unwell while undergoing training to serve in the revolutionary forces and passed away suddenly on August 7.

It was noted that Salai Ye Min Naing had dutifully and skillfully fulfilled all revolutionary duties assigned to him during both the recruitment period and his time as a trainee, and that the organization takes great pride in his contributions.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Two SAC Soldiers Defect to the Resistance in Buthidaung and Taungtha Townships

Two junta soldiers have defected to the revolutionary forces — one in Taungtha Township, Myingyan District, Mandalay Region, and another in Buthidaung Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region — according to official reports.

On August 6, a junta soldier stationed in Taungtha town defected to the Myingyan Twenty-One Guerrilla Force (MTGF), bringing along an MA2 rifle and ammunition.

The MTGF welcomed the defector warmly and awarded him a reward for bringing his weapon.

Similarly, on August 3, a junta soldier named Ko Chit Moe from a fixed-position unit in Buthidaung town defected to the Buthidaung Mobile Taskforce (BMT), Monywa District Battalion 2 Ywazogyi Unit (YZG), and the Student Armed Force (SAF).

It was confirmed that the soldier who sought refuge among the people had no involvement in war crimes, and efforts are being made to allow him to pursue the life he wishes to live.
