๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Three junta troops killed, two firearms seized in attack on military column advancing into resistance-controlled territory in Bago Region

The No. (2) Military Region Command announced that a clash occurred when military council troops advancing into resistance-controlled territory in Bago Region encountered revolutionary forces.

On August 8, a two-hour battle broke out between the advancing junta column and allied resistance forces, during which three junta soldiers were killed and about 12 were wounded.

The junta column eventually retreated after suffering losses, and the revolutionary forces seized two firearms, ammunition, and other military equipment.

The attack was jointly carried out by Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Battalion 8, No. (2) Military Region Command, Bago Regional Military Command, Strategic Unit (24), Naga Ni Battalion, and Battalion No. (3503).

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. KNLA intercepts and attacks military convoy supplying junta forces operating in Mawktaung area

The Karen National Union (KNU) announced that the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and allied revolutionary forces intercepted and attacked a junta supply convoy that was delivering weapons, ammunition, and rations to junta troops conducting an offensive to regain control of the Mawktaung area in Tanintharyi Township, Myeik–Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region.

On August 9, the convoy was ambushed between Thikhun Village and Chaung Nhit Khwa Pok Village by KNLA Battalion 11 and allied resistance units.

Five junta soldiers were killed and at least 10 others were injured in the attack, and two supply trucks were destroyed.

Additionally, inside one of the overturned and damaged trucks, the attacking forces discovered two damaged Kamikaze suicide drones along with some small arms.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Resistance forces seize junta outpost near Myoing Town, capture three soldiers alive

The Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa) announced that a junta outpost near Myoing Town in Magway Region was attacked and captured, with three junta soldiers taken alive.

At around 5:00 a.m. on August 10, the outpost was attacked by joint forces from Myoing PaKaFa and Pakokku PaKaFa. By approximately 11:30 a.m., the resistance forces had fully seized the position.

During the battle, one junta soldier was killed, three others were captured alive, and the remaining troops abandoned the post and fled.

The resistance forces seized three G3 rifles and a large quantity of 7.62mm ammunition.

Although the junta used paramotors and jet fighters to conduct aerial bombing during the clash, the outpost was successfully captured.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. Military Junta Positions in Minmu Attacked with Fixed-Wing Drones

The Myaung Drone Force announced that military junta troops stationed at the Myaung Junction military base in Minmu Township, Sagaing Region, were attacked with fixed-wing drones.

On August 8, in commemoration of the “8888 Uprising Day”, fixed-wing drones were used to drop six bombs between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Following the bombing, junta troops indiscriminately fired into the surrounding area. Detailed casualty figures from that strike are still under investigation.

Later the same day, between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the military junta unit temporarily stationed inside the Ko Su Pagoda in Alekapa Village was attacked with three bomb drops, injuring five soldiers, two of them seriously.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Military Junta Convoy Attacked Between Kyaikto and Bilin, 8 Dead

The White Dragon – P29904 group reported that on the Yangon–Mawlamyine highway between Kyaikto and Bilin in Mon State, a military junta convoy was ambushed, killing eight soldiers.

On August 9, near the stretch between Winpaton Village petrol station and Thinchaikone Village, two 6-wheeled trucks carrying junta troops were attacked in a joint operation by the White Dragon Battalion (Sub-units 2 and 7805) and (Sub-unit 4).

The attack resulted in eight junta soldiers killed and two wounded. The joint resistance forces sustained no casualties and successfully withdrew.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 6. Junta Drone and Jet Fighter Attack on Funeral in Lamelekyit Village, Thabeikkyin, Kills 11 Civilians, Injures About 40

At around 8:00 a.m. on August 8, in Lamelekyit Village, Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, the military junta launched a deadly strike on a funeral ceremony using suicide drones and jet fighters.

According to the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay), the attack killed 10 people on the spot, with one more dying later from injuries, bringing the total death toll to 11 civilians. Around 40 others were injured.

Furthermore, at about 8:30 a.m., a jet fighter from Tada-U Air Base dropped a 500-pound bomb, damaging six houses.

Lamelekyit Village is located about two miles south of 7-Mile Village, an area where ongoing clashes have been reported. The village has more than 200 households.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 7. Military Airstrikes and Artillery Attacks on Villages in Western Yezagyo — 3 Civilians Killed, 6 Injured

Starting from the morning of August 9, the Myanmar military conducted two separate airstrikes using jet fighters from the Tada-U Air Base on Taung-U Village in the western part of Yezagyo Township. Additionally, the 256th Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) based in Yezagyo’s Htawng Witzar area bombarded the village with Howitzer heavy artillery for the entire day, according to reports.

Furthermore, the center of Kyet Su Kyin Village was also bombed twice using two paramotors from Pakokku-based Infantry Battalion 101.

As a result of the two jet fighter attacks, a 40-year-old man from Taung-U Village was killed. Due to the Howitzer artillery shelling, a 14-year-old girl and a 60-year-old woman were also killed.

The bombing of Kyet Su Kyin’s village center by paramotors injured six civilians, and some houses were destroyed by fire, according to the Yezagyo Township People’s Defense Force (PDF).

Yezagyo Township is one of the townships included in coup leader Min Aung Hlaing’s declared emergency martial law zones. Local civilians have reportedly been subjected to arbitrary arrests, and transportation of goods from the town to surrounding villages has been tightly restricted.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 8. One Soldier from LIB-104 Defects to KNLA Brigade 4

The Karen National Union (KNU) has announced that a soldier from the military regime defected to Brigade 4 of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), Battalion 10, in the Myeik–Dawei District, bringing his weapon with him.

On August 9, Private Maung Min Htet Naing, aged 25, from the military’s 104th Light Infantry Battalion (LIB), Point 1500 Base, defected to the KNLA.

The defector brought with him one MA-1 assault rifle, thirty rounds of ammunition, and one magazine, according to reports.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 9. Shwebo District Battalion 9 Holds 4th Anniversary Ceremony

On August 8, the Ministry of Defense under the National Unity Government (NUG), Military Region 1, Shwebo District Battalion 9, held a ceremony marking its 4th founding anniversary.

The event was attended by leaders from allied organizations, representatives from the People’s Defense Force (PDF), People’s Administration Teams (PATs), People’s Liberation Forces (PLFs), family members of the battalion, and supporting civilians.

During the ceremony, battalion officials paid formal respects to the People’s Defense Force flag and honored 20 fallen revolutionary comrades who had lost their lives in the struggle.

Shwebo District Battalion 9 declared that they will continue fighting without retreat until the entire public and all organizations achieve complete liberation, pledging this vow in front of the memorial for the fallen. The anniversary ceremony concluded successfully.
