The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government has expressed its openness to any foreign investment that benefits the development and prosperity of the Arakan region. They have pledged to safeguard the security and well-being of those involved in such investments, as well as to ensure the continuity of operations. They also emphasized their willingness to collaborate with foreign companies on mutually beneficial ventures.
The statement highlighted that the AA’s recent military offensives, which began on November 13, 2023, were driven by the desires of the people of the Arakan region for freedom and self-determination. They underscored the importance of addressing Myanmar’s internal issues through political dialogue rather than military force, reinforcing their commitment to nonviolent resolutions.

📌📌 3. Rising Propaganda Campaigns by Military Lobbyists Against the Arakan Army (AA) Amidst Escalating Conflicts in Rakhine
December 29
Radio NUG
From December 7 to 20, military lobbyists launched intensified propaganda campaigns targeting ethnic armed groups, particularly the Arakan Army (AA). Reports from BACS indicate that due to the deteriorating military situation in Rakhine State, the AA has become a prime target for these disinformation efforts.
In February, similar hate campaigns were directed at the AA and the Rakhine people when the AA successfully captured several territories, including Paletwa in Chin State and multiple towns in Rakhine. The military lobbyists retaliated by spreading racial propaganda against the AA.
In recent weeks, the AA has taken control of 13 townships in Rakhine State, leaving only three under military control. Despite initial attempts to downplay the situation, military lobbyists were later forced to confront the facts presented by revolutionary forces, leading to a decrease in their propaganda output.
The propaganda narratives now aim to undermine the AA’s achievements, including portraying the AA as oppressors and fabricating stories of human rights abuses. Similar tactics are being used against the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in northern Myanmar, reflecting the shifting strategies of military lobbyists in response to changing battlefield dynamics.
