๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. PDF Troops from Mountainous Regions Prepare for Major Offensive Against Junta Forces in Lowlands

January 27

According to PDF Insight, an analysis report published in January 2025, People's Defense Forces (PDFs) that have gained extensive combat experience and achieved victories in mountainous regions are now ready to dismantle military council forces in the lowlands.

The report highlights that PDFs and allied resistance forces, including the NUG (National Unity Government), are actively fighting across the country to eradicate military dictatorship and establish a Federal Democratic Union. Resistance efforts are ongoing in northern regions such as the Kachin hills, western Chin hills, coastal areas like Rakhine, and border areas such as Karen State and Tanintharyi Region.

The 2024 Military Progress Report, published by the NUG’s Ministry of Defense, also states that PDFs and allied forces are collaborating with ethnic revolutionary organizations to fight against the junta in all seven states of Myanmar.

The analysis emphasizes that the resistance effort is not limited to any one region but is a nationwide movement aimed at ending military dictatorship and building a new federal democratic state.
