Radio NUG

On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, the National Unity Government (NUG) extended its heartfelt greetings and best wishes for peace, prosperity, and good health to Muslims across Myanmar and around the world.

The message stated:

“This sacred day represents the values of sacrifice, steadfast faith, compassion, and solidarity. Every year, Muslims around the world joyously observe Eid al-Adha through prayer, by performing virtuous deeds, and by sharing food and donations with the poor and needy.”

The NUG also highlighted the continuing reality in Myanmar, where the brutal military junta and its accomplices are destroying the lives and properties of the people—without regard for ethnicity or religion—by engaging in widespread violence, arbitrary arrests, and torture. In response, all members of the revolutionary ethnic alliance forces understand and accept that true peace, equality, mutual respect, and the right to self-determination can only be achieved once the military dictatorship is permanently dismantled from Myanmar’s soil and replaced with a Federal Democratic Union.

The NUG further emphasized that Muslims across Myanmar are standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow citizens in the ongoing Spring Revolution, actively resisting the military dictatorship. It also honored the courageous and selfless sacrifices made by Muslim revolutionaries who gave their lives in this struggle, affirming that their heroism is recorded with deep respect and reverence.

Finally, the NUG pledged to continue working hand-in-hand with all revolutionary ethnic alliance forces to end the military dictatorship and build a peaceful federal democratic union where equal rights are guaranteed for all. On this sacred day of Eid al-Adha, the NUG expressed its warmest wishes for good health, happiness, and safety to all Muslims in Myanmar, those living abroad, and Muslims around the world.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 7. Resistance Singer Azarni Participates in Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th Birthday Campaign by Ringing the Bell 80 Times

June 7
Radio NUG

Renowned resistance singer Azarni shared on social media that they participated in the 80th birthday campaign for public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi by ringing a bell 80 times.

The post reads:
“This morning, we delivered items requested by students from UCDAVIS, a university that once had a saying—students from every corner would gather here to study. This gesture honors our beloved ‘Mother Suu,’ who always prioritized education. On her 80th birthday, I wanted to do something symbolic involving the number 80—so I rang the bell 80 times, wishing her good health and a swift release from unjust detention, just like the great Mahatma Gandhi did. The bell-ringing took place in front of a small park on C Street in Davis Old Town.”
