๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. People's Defense Force (Mandalay) Calls on Young Men and Women to Join the Struggle Against Military Dictatorship

June 7
Radio NUG

The People’s Defense Force (Mandalay) has officially announced an open and heartfelt invitation to all young men and women who refuse to serve under the military dictatorship and who aspire to decisively uproot the military regime alongside MDY_PDF.

"Will we continue to silently tolerate the fact that the military council is enforcing not only the military conscription law but also unlawfully abducting people?" the statement posed.
"Even those who can afford to pay their way out remain on borrowed time before they too are eventually enlisted. The military is coercively conscripting youth—male and female alike—by township, neighborhood, and even family groupings. These conscripts are forcibly enrolled into military training and sent to the frontlines as expendable troops. This practice is a desperate strategy by the junta to drag out their collapsing grip by forcibly swelling their ranks," it stated.

The announcement emphasized that the conscription process is not limited to a 12-week cycle, but will be extended continuously, and as extensively as necessary. It therefore urged all young people, from urban centers to remote villages, to remain vigilant.

The statement further urged:

“Should we inevitably be forced into armed confrontation, then we must resolve to stand firmly on the side of justice. The time has come to use every resource at our disposal—every bullet, every weapon, every ounce of strength—to rise up and eradicate this tyrannical regime that is violently oppressing our people.”

It also noted that the goal of completely dismantling the military dictatorship is no longer far off, and called on everyone to unite in this effort—to collectively bring down the junta and establish a peaceful, just, and free nation.
