Radio NUG
The Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government (NUG) has announced the launch of the “Safe Schools and Safe Education” campaign, scheduled to run from July 15 to August 31, with a fundraising target of USD 400,000.
The campaign aims to ensure continued access to education for children in Myanmar by establishing secure learning environments, particularly as non-military school facilities have been deliberately and brutally targeted by the junta through airstrikes and attacks. These assaults have resulted in the deaths and injuries of teachers, students, and children.
In light of these ongoing atrocities, the Ministry of Education urges the public to contribute and support this campaign to provide protection and continuity of education through schools equipped with child protection mechanisms.
