๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 1. Over 80 Junta Troops Killed in Battles at Sapae Gyi Creek and Kha Chin Hill in Minhla Township; One Resistance Fighter Killed During Tactical Retreat

On July 13 at 1:40 PM, a tactical strike was launched by Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802, Unit 5, targeting junta forces stationed at Sapae Gyi Creek, located within the administrative boundary of Minhla Township, Bago Region. The clash lasted for around two hours, during which 30 junta soldiers were reportedly killed, and many others were wounded, according to an official report.

In response to their losses, the junta launched a counteroffensive on July 14 at around 7:30 AM, deploying approximately 400 troops to assault Kha Chin Hill via multiple strategic positions: U Tin Lone Taung, 48 Bawk, and Kha Chin Hill itself. The confrontation escalated into three separate battles lasting until 4 PM that evening.

The junta also conducted relentless artillery shelling and dropped bombs using three drones, forcing the resistance fighters to tactically withdraw from the Kha Chin Hill base, according to the report.

In total, more than 50 junta soldiers were killed and many injured in the battles on that day. On the resistance side, comrade Zar Mani was killed by a drone strike, while seven others were injured. Material losses included two motorcycles, a rain cover, solar panels, bags of rice, and various household utensils.

The public has been urged to avoid traveling within the conflict area of the Yoma region and to provide support for ongoing military operations, as further clashes with junta troops are anticipated.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 2. Seven Resistance Fighters from Southern Eagle PDF Killed During the Spring Revolution

It has been reported that seven resistance fighters from Battalion P29909, Southern Eagle PDF, have died so far during the ongoing Spring Revolution.

On July 19, 1947, at 10:37 AM, General Aung San and other key Martyrs were assassinated. In remembrance, Southern Eagle PDF issued a statement paying respects to General Aung San and his fellow fallen Martyrs.

The group also expressed reverence for the modern-day Martyrs who have bravely given their lives in the struggle to bring down the military dictatorship as part of the current revolution.

As of today, seven resistance fighters from Southern Eagle PDF have been confirmed killed in action since the beginning of the Spring Revolution.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 3. Junta Bombs Theintawgon Monastery in Aung Thar Village, Nawnghkio Township; One Monk Injured

According to Nawnghkio Journal, the junta launched an airstrike on Theintawgon Monastery, located to the west of Aung Thar Village, Nawnghkio Township, Mandalay Region. The attack resulted in one monk sustaining injuries.

The incident occurred on July 18 at around 10:30 PM, when a fighter jet dropped two bombs on the monastery compound.

The aerial attack caused injuries to a monk who was already in poor health, and significant damage to religious structures including pagodas, monastery buildings, and gates.

Similarly, on the morning of July 19 at around 7:00 AM, the junta carried out airstrikes using a Y-12 aircraft over multiple villages located near the border of Lay Myat Hnar Township and Ngapudaw Township in Ayeyarwady Region, specifically targeting Pan Taw Gyi, Let Tan Gyi, Htauk Kyan Kwin, Saw Pyar, and Kyar Kite villages.

At this time, there is no confirmed information yet regarding civilian casualties or damage resulting from those airstrikes.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 4. 88-Year-Old Woman Killed in Drone Bombing by Junta Forces in Ngape Township

An 88-year-old woman was killed in a drone bombing attack carried out by junta forces on Naung Village, located in Ngape Township, Magway Region, according to a statement from the Chin Defense Force – Asho (CDF-Asho).

The incident occurred on July 18 at around 11:30 AM, when the junta's military unit based at the Natyekan Air Defense Camp (Strategic Hill) launched a drone strike targeting Naung Village.

As a result of the bombing, the elderly woman died, and a 20-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries.

CDF (Asho) expressed deep condolences to the victim's family and relatives and strongly condemned the daily war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated by the junta across the country.

๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Four Conscripts Illegally Recruited Under Junta’s Forced Conscription Law Defect to KNLA Battalion 9

Four junta soldiers who were forcibly conscripted under the military's "People’s Military Service Law" have defected to Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Battalion 9, operating in Ler Doh Township, Kler Lwee Htoo District, under the Karen National Union (KNU), according to an official statement.

On July 8, two soldiers from Military Training Batch 8, and two from Batch 5, originally affiliated with Battalion 20 (Nyaung Lay Pin) and Battalion 581 (Kawkareik), defected while bringing their weapons.

The defectors have been identified as:

Comrade Nyi Nyi Lwin (31 years old)

Soldier Soe The Aung (33)

Comrade Nhin Maung (36)

Soldier Myint Myat Aung (34)

They brought with them:

Two MA-11 rifles

One MA-1 rifle

One MA-2 rifle

Ammunition magazines and bullets

KNLA Battalion 9 welcomed the defectors and awarded each of them a reward of 1 million Kyat. The KNLA further encouraged others who have been forcibly recruited not to serve under the junta but to defect to nearby resistance groups instead.

The 78th Martyrs’ Day was commemorated on July 19, 2025, by the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay) in a liberated area, according to an official release.

The event was attended by members of the Mandalay PDF, local resistance allies, and civilians, who paid solemn tribute to the fallen Martyrs, including General Aung San and other leaders who gave their lives for the nation's freedom, as well as all those who sacrificed their lives in the ongoing democratic struggle across generations.

Similarly, in Thabeikkyin Township, under Pyin Oo Lwin District, the local People's Defense Group also held a commemorative event. Despite ongoing junta airstrikes, participants conducted a respectful march and ceremony to honor the Martyrs, as reported in their statement.

In observance of the 78th Martyrs’ Day, the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) resistance force held a memorial event at its Rear Headquarters, involving commanders and soldiers, according to an official statement.

The event, held on July 19, featured a tribute to General Aung San and the other eight Martyrs, including:

Flying the MBT flag at half-mast

A moment of mourning and remembrance

A symbolic call to honor the legacy of the fallen

A commemorative speech by Battalion Commander Bo Myit Khae

Additionally, the ceremony paid homage to not only the Nine Fallen Martyrs of 1947 but also to all revolutionary heroes who have died in the current Spring Revolution.

MBT reiterated its commitment to the original goals of the Martyrs, declaring that its fighters will resist dictatorship without distinction between highland or lowland regions, and will continue to fight until the authoritarian system is completely uprooted.

Battalion 2 and Battalion 9703 of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), Myeik District, jointly held a Martyrs’ Day commemorative ceremony at one of their forward bases, according to reports.

On July 19, the day of remembrance, male and female resistance fighters from Battalion 2 paid solemn tribute to the Martyrs of 1947, as well as to the revolutionary heroes who have died in the ongoing Spring Revolution, pledging to honor their memory with deep respect and unwavering resolve.

Similarly, Battalion 9703 also organized its own ceremony at the frontline base, with the battalion commander leading a moment of tribute to Martyrs across generations who have sacrificed their lives in the struggle for democracy.
