๐๐ 1. Magway Federal Unit Parliament Presents and Discusses First Draft of Interim Plan

On July 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM, the Magway Federal Unit Parliament convened a meeting via Zoom to present and discuss the first draft of the interim plan for the Magway Federal Unit. Attendees included representatives of the Magway Federal Unit Parliament, the National League for Democracy (NLD) Unit, district and township executive members.
The session opened with a moment of solemn remembrance — an 8-second silence to honor the monks, nuns, civilians, and students who had sacrificed their lives for democracy across different eras.
Following the opening, a member of the Central Committee delivered a welcome address. An executive committee member from the Unit gave introductory remarks. The Speaker of the Magway Federal Unit Parliament then presented how the first draft of the interim plan for the Magway Federal Unit had come into being.
Afterwards, a parliamentary representative presented and explained the contents of the first draft in detail. This was followed by contributions from the attendees, who offered suggestions and engaged in discussion.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks by a representative of the Union Parliament and a word of thanks from a Unit executive member.
According to reports, attendees at the meeting included the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, the Unit Executive Committee Chair and members, Central Committee members, representatives of the Union Parliament, Unit representatives, and district and township executives.

The Karenni State Advisory Council has officially announced its expansion on July 28.
According to the public statement, the Council has been expanded to comprise 14 members, including the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, executive committee members, and general council members.
The expanded Council now includes individuals from civil society organizations, youth groups, and political parties.

The earthquake occurred at approximately 12:01 AM Myanmar Standard Time on July 28, 2025, centered at a depth of 10 kilometers near Pyu Seik Gyi town in Mandalay Region, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management under the National Unity Government (NUG).
The Ministry issued a public advisory urging residents to remain vigilant and adhere to recommended safety precautions to minimize losses and damages from potential aftershocks related to the recent major earthquake in Sagaing.
