A naval convoy of the military junta, which was moving upstream along the Chindwin River, was attacked with mine strikes at a location within Monywa Township, according to a statement from the Chindwin Fighter Group (CFG).
On August 3 at 11:15 AM, the resistance forces reportedly launched a coordinated assault using three forward-positioned landmines (laid at a single point) and small arms fire, targeting one main vessel and ten accompanying motorized boats traveling along a stretch of the Chindwin River.
The attack was jointly carried out by the Chindwin Fighter Group (CFG) and the Brave Heart Army (B.H.A). Both groups managed to safely withdraw from the operation without sustaining any casualties.
Details regarding casualties or damages on the junta’s side are still under investigation, according to the statement.

In Palaw Township and Tanintharyi Township, located in Tanintharyi Region, military junta troops have launched incursions and conducted heavy artillery shelling, resulting in the deaths of 10 displaced civilians, according to the Tanintharyi Region Military Command.
The junta has advanced into Strategic Zone 35, which falls under the command of the Tanintharyi Region Military Command. As a result, there have been widespread clashes between junta forces and local People’s Defense Battalions, units, and columns.
Specifically, the 10 displaced civilians were reportedly killed during artillery shelling conducted by junta troops in Palaw Township while they were on the move to escape the fighting.
Additionally, in Tanintharyi Township, junta troops have abducted 10 civilians from villages along their route of advance and are allegedly attempting to force them into involuntary military service, according to local sources.
It is further reported that as the junta troops push into various localities, they are engaging in a pattern of arbitrary arrests, forced labor, torture, extrajudicial killings, and theft of civilian property and belongings.
The local People’s Defense Forces under the Tanintharyi Region Military Command have issued a warning that they will launch attacks at any time on junta positions across their deployment areas. In light of this, civilians residing near key routes, including the Myeik–Palaw Union Highway (Route No. 8) and the Myeik–Boke Pyin Road, as well as nearby areas, have been advised to evacuate in advance and avoid close proximity to junta troops.

On August 3, the military junta launched an aerial attack on Hsipaw Town, located in the northern part of Shan State, which falls under the control of TNLA Brigade 2, according to a report from PSLF/TNLA.
The airstrike took place at 2:22 PM, targeting the area of the former base of Infantry Battalion 23, with three 250-pound bombs dropped on the location.
The bombardment caused damage to a main hall and two nearby buildings within the former IB-23 compound.
Additionally, one bomb reportedly fell near Ywar Thit Village, but it did not detonate, according to local residents.
In July, the junta had already carried out four separate airstrikes on Hsipaw without any accompanying ground clashes. Those strikes resulted in two civilian deaths and five injuries, according to available reports.

In Jet Taw Ward of Thandwe Township, Rakhine State, the military junta’s navy launched artillery shelling that resulted in the destruction of a civilian home, according to Arakan Princess Media.
At approximately 3:35 PM on August 2, a junta navy warship fired heavy artillery shells into the area, and one of the shells exploded inside the residential compound of U Aung Htun, located in Jet Taw Ward No. 4.
The explosion damaged the roof of the house, although no civilian casualties were reported.
Two minutes later, at 3:37 PM, the warship fired another shell, which exploded behind the home of U Sein Aung Kyi, also in Ward No. 4.

The sixth round of battalion-level financial assistance for the drone unit fighters in Gangaw District, who are actively involved in the resistance against the military dictatorship, has been successfully delivered with the support of the local civilian population, according to a statement issued by the unit on August 3.
The statement emphasized that during the revolution, the drone unit fighters have dedicated their full physical and emotional strength to the cause and have at times been unable to care for their families and loved ones due to their responsibilities.
Despite financial constraints, the Gangaw District Drone Unit has continued to provide necessary support to its members by economizing on unit expenses. The statement noted that this round of financial support was made possible thanks to the selfless contributions of the civilian public.
