📌📌 1. The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) held a meeting with the Committee Representing Sagaing Hluttaw (CRSH)
The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) held its meeting (2/2023) with the Committee Representing Sagaing Hluttaw (CRSH) on January 13 via video conferencing. Chairman U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Secretary U Tun Myint, and officials from the affairs committees of the CRPH, as well as representatives from the CRSH, attended the meeting.
It was learned that during the meeting, the two sides discussed the sectors, such as the various situations occurring in Sagaing Division during the revolution, the future work on political leadership, and policy issues.

📌📌 2. Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann claims that the NUG has the military capability to attack the enemy throughout the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government (NUG) released a statement on January 13 welcoming the establishment of the Office of the ASEAN Special Envoy on Myanmar, which was announced by the Indonesian Foreign Minister.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said in her speech on January 11 that the Office of Special Envoy to Myanmar would be formed and it would be led by her ministry.

The National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar warmly welcomes the establishment of the Office of Special Envoy, as announced by H.E. Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.
We are confident that Foreign Minster Rento will bring dedication and determination to her role as Head of the Office.
To further raise the bar of ASEAN’s Myanmar response, the Minister’s likely appointment of a new Special Envoy should see the role made full-time, and the Office of Special Envoy allocated human and financial resources matched to the mandate’s importance and scope.
Indonesia’s leadership of ASEAN arrives at a critical moment for Myanmar and amidst a groundswell of momentum. ASEAN Leaders’ all for support from the United Nations and eternal partners at the recent ASEAN Summits enabled the UN Security Council to adopt its historic first resolution on the situation in Myanmar. Significantly, this binding resolution confirmed the Security Council’s support for the will of the Myanmar people, demanded an immediate end to the illegal military junta’s violence, and stressed the needed for full, safe and unimpeded humanitarian access to all people in need.
The National Unity Government extends its full support and cooperation to Indonesia as ASEAN Chair and to Foreign Minister Rento as Head of the Office of Special Envoy.

📌📌 3. NUG Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye calls for the partner countries to provide effective air defence measures
On January 13, on Twitter, Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (NUG), called for partner countries to provide effective air defence measures, as follows:
“It is disheartening to witness that innocent civilians are major victims of terrorist military airstrikes as recent attack in Chin State, Myanmar. We strongly urge the U.N. & partner countries for their coordinated efforts to provide effective air defense measures against these airstrikes.”
Last year, the terrorist military used helicopters to attack a school in Let Yet Kone Village, Depeyin Township, Sagaing Division, killing children who were studying there.

📌📌 4. NUG Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe took an oath to make unceasing efforts to overthrow the military dictatorship and establish a true federal democracy, in accordance with the wishes of the comrades who gave their lives
On January 13, Union Minister for Education and Health Dr. Zaw Wai Soe stated the following in relation to the junta’s recent bombing attack in Chin State:
“I’m writing to pay tribute to the Chin comrade heroes who were killed in the terrorist military bombing attack. I took a blood oath that I will make unceasing efforts to overthrow the military dictatorship and establish a true federal democracy.”
After at least 20,000 of its soldiers were killed within over a year of the people’s defensive war, the terrorist military conducted continuous air attacks.

📌📌 5. Myanmar Ambassador stated at the United Nations that the fascist military is a threat to regional peace and security
Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the United Nations, delivered a statement at the Ministerial Level Open Debate of the UN Security Council on “The Rule of Law among Nations,” held on January 12, 2023.
“It is vividly clear that the military does not guarantee the stability of the nation; instead, it poses a threat to regional peace and security; the fascist military has created safe havens for transnational organized crime,” the ambassador stated.
The ambassador also stated that, according to recent news reports, the military junta had enabled 15 criminal zones to be built along a 40-kilometer stretch of the Thaung Yin River, also known as the Moei River, where innocent people from at least 30 countries were being have been trafficked in by luring them with false promises of work; and that was a major threat to the security of neighboring countries and the world, and therefore he urged the international community and relevant UN agencies to pay serious attention to this human trafficking crisis and to address it in a timely and effective manner.

The Pale Township People’s Administrative Group (PaAhHpa) said on January 14 that the Pale PaKaHpa, the Pale PaAhHpa, and the people awarded 8,000,000 MMK to a junta soldier who defected from the military, as follows:

The Kyainseikgyi Township People’s Administration Group reported on January 14 that the terrorist military junta troops killed six civilians in Kyainseikgyi Township, Karen State, as follows:
“The terrorist military columns advanced into Kyainseikgyi Township (KNU’s Noet Ta Kaw Township) while capturing civilians and using them as human shields. Therefore, the local revolutionary forces had to leave some areas, not wanting the civilians and village houses to be harmed. In a fight outside the villages, about 10 members of the terrorist military, including a battalion commander, were killed. The terrorist military columns shot and killed six civilians during their raid on villages.”
The statement said that junta troops casualties will be confirmed by resistance forces at a later date.
The terrorist military column, according to the statement, looted and destroyed houses and shops in the village and burned down a KNU camp that had been withdrawn so as not to endanger civilians.
