Acting President Duwa Lashi La said at the World Teachers’ Day ceremony that the military dictators have been increasing physical violence and destruction.
“Military dictators have always used education to systematically destroy and dominate the ideas and standards of our country and society, but now they are also increasing physical violence and destruction.
They are committing inhumane acts such as intentionally bombing schools from the air, burning them down, arresting teachers, and torturing and killing them without distinguishing between military and civilian targets. According to the latest data released by the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (GCPEA), Myanmar is among the top 3 countries attacked in the education sector in 2022,” the Acting President said.
The Acting President reiterated that everyone must work consistently to record the evidence of the inhumane war crimes committed by the military council and restore justice.

📌📌 2. Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann attended the meeting of the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC)
On October 5, the meeting of the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) (40/2023) was held. At the meeting, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, chair of the ILACC, gave an opening speech.

“We are going to change from the previous military’s slave education and centralized education to federal democratic education. In the changing process, the role of teachers and the role of education is very important. The actual federal democratic education system must be implemented with the full quantity and qualifications of teachers. It is important that every unit of the federal unit has the full standard in quality and qualifications as the whole country,” said the minister.
On September 4, 2023, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) approved the accreditation policy for higher education institutions established and opened during the interim period.

On October 5, Myaing PaKaFa confirmed that a total of 11 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members under the military council were killed in a series of drone operations.
“On October 1, the house of Pyu Saw Htee leader Pho Zin, who lives in Ywar Naung Village, Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Division, was attacked with 6 Enaga bombs and in the last attack, the house was blown up accurately by dropping the drone along with,” it stated.
On October 2, the place where the junta soldiers were stationed in Ayadaw Oil Field, Pakokku District, was attacked from the air by dropping 20 Enaga bombs with a large drone. As a result of the attack, 4 junta soldiers were killed and the bodies were taken to Bagan-Nyaung U by two boats.
On October 3, South Ywar Yar, North Ywar Yar, and Yenanchat villages, which are Pyu villages, were attacked from the air by dropping 40–50 bombs with drones, resulting in many injuries but no deaths. They were taken to Seik Kawa camp by cars.
On October 4, the checkpoint gate near Warzi Village, Magway Division, was attacked by dropping 20 Enaga bombs, killing 2 junta soldiers.
The operations were cooperatively conducted by Myaing U.A.V Fighter – drone team, Earthquake People’s Defence Force – drone team, Myaing People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa) – drone team, Salingyi Special Task Force SSTF – drone team, Myaing Rural Guerrilla Force (Myaing) MRGF, Pakokku District Battalion 8 and M.P.L People’s Defense Force (Myaing PaKaFa Circuit 4).

📌📌 8. There have been 4,141 pro-democracy activists and civilians killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution
The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (Burma) stated in its “Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup,” updated on October 5.
“Since the February 1, 2021 coup, a total of (4,141) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution. In addition to the total fatality figure, AAPP has documented around (450) deceased persons whose names are unknown and still need to be verified.
Since the coup, a total of (25,248) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power, (19,661) are currently in detention, (7,664) of whom are serving sentences,” it stated.
